Dancing onstage with Britney Spears

As you may know, last night I went to see Britney Spears in Birmingham. I was always going to go and I got my ticket as soon as they went on sale which meant I had really good seats. As you can imagine, I was very excited about going to see the Femme Fatale tour - I'd already seen her Circus tour but from the videos I'd watched on YouTube, this tour was bigger and better.
On the way to Birmingham my friend text me telling me there was a competition to dance on stage with Britney. Now, I had been trying to win passes to do this for ages so of course, I entered. All I had to do was say when Britney's birthday is and of course, that's easy. I also sent them a begging tweet telling them to please choose me. And they only went and chose me! I ended up winning 2 tickets to see Britney and 2 passes to dance on stage with her! My sister was already in the car with me and although she was driving me there, she wasn't going to be going to the concert as she couldn't afford tickets at the time. So of course, I asked her to join me and gave my other ticket to my mum.
When we got there we had to wait inside the box office for a woman named Tara who explained all the details to us and gave us our tickets. She then queue jumped us all the way to the front and we got to meet Igor who is Britney's bodyguard. Meeting Igor was incredible enough for me and I got a bit starstruck as I knew who he was! He gave us wristbands and made us a sign a form that basically said 'if you die, we're not responsible.' We were signing away out lives to Britney. After that, Igor said our seats weren't good enough and he moved us into the standing area and we were just three rows away from the front.
At this point, we were all getting majorly excited and when the support acts came on, we couldn't believe how close we'd be to seeing our idol. Anyway, the show went on and let's just say this; don't believe a word the UK press say about her. The arena was full, she sung live, she danced better than she's danced in a long time, her body is stunning and her face is beautiful. But you know what's better than all of that? She was smiling.. the whole time. You just couldn't wipe that smile off of her face. I was very proud - incredibly proud.
Anyway, it reached the song 'Boys' and this was the point were we had to leave. We went to the side and met up with another bodyguard (who was very scary) and we sat right at the front of the stage. Right at the front. I was in awe seeing Britney right before my eyes. And we were sat there for a good 4/5 songs. I also saw her boys, her mum and her boyfriend! And Britney looked down at me and noticed me. Oh and another thing, when Jason (her boyfriend) walked to the front of the stage, she saw him and smiled at him - so cute!
After Trouble For Me, it was our turn to go onstage. And Fe (her assistant who I love) called us up to the front of the stage. I looked at Fe and said 'Fe, I love you so much. Thank you for everything you've done for Britney.' And she gave me a hug and said 'No problem, I love you too and so does Britney. You're going to have the time of your life.' And how right was she?!
We went up on stage and we stood just inches away from Ms Spears. She looked at all of us and smiled at all her us. At first, I was stood about 4 people away from her but when we all moved to the middle of the stage, I was the closest to her. I looked a bit weird though because I couldn't stop looking at her haha!

But this was just the greatest experience of my entire life. I've waited 13 years to meet my idol and not only did I meet her - I danced onstage with her.
After the show, I tweeted Britney and she followed me AND tweeted me back. I couldn't believe it. Britney Spears knows who I am.
I don't know what else to say - I'm still speechless. But if you have any questions, just leave me a comment :)

My love of cats meant that I bought the cat onesie (other people were tigers, monkeys and leopards) and I also decided to do my make up as if I were a cat aswell. I don't have pictures of my entire outfit yet as I can't get them onto the computer but I do have some LQ mobile uploads of my make up.

UPDATE

It's been a while..

Hello girls :)
It's been a while since I posted anything and I thought I'd just write a quick post to let you know that I am still here! I shouldn't make excuses for why I haven't been blogging but honestly, I've been so busy. My workload is really piling up now and I barely have a spare moment to just sit down and blog. I miss it so much and I say this all the time but I hope to start being more regular soon. I thought I'd let you know a few things that have been recently happening:Tumblr_lt9qqtbzlz1qhj00vo1_500_large

  1. I have a job! But not just any job - a job that I know I'm going to love! I'm going to be working at the Boots soon and I'm really excited :D I've been applying at Boots for the past 2-3 years so to finally be accepted means a lot. I can't wait to spend Saturday's around beauty products - it's a beauty blogger's heaven!
  2. My laptop broke on Thursday night which has been a nightmare. If I wasn't at university, I wouldn't have minded so much but I do need one. So on Friday me, my sister and my friend from university went to Mansfield, visited my mum, dad and both grandparents, drank four cups of tea and made it back to Lincoln with a laptop to tie me over for a week - all in 7 hours! I'm now using my grandparent's laptop which is okay for the time being but it doesn't have all the software I need. So my grandad has just ordered me a new laptop and it should be here by the end of the week - so I'm really happy for that!
  3. Whilst sorting out my money yesterday I discovered a 5p coin that I'd never seen before so I Googled it and it turns out it's worth $10 which is about £6.50 - not bad for a 5p coin! I'll be selling it on eBay soon.
  4. If you read my blog often/follow me on Twitter then you'll know that I'm a huge Britney Spears fan (you can probably tell by the Britney pictures on this post)! And finally the time has come for me to see her live again! On Sunday I'll be taking a road trip to Birmingham to see Britney. It's not my first time seeing her but I'm so excited and I know I'll be in tears - again!08242011185346_large
I think that's about all that has been happening. Apart from work, going out, eating and sleeping. I hope you're all well and if you fancy a chat, make sure you tweet me @bamboozlebeauty! It's the easiest way to get into contact with me :)

Campaign For Clearer Clothing Sizes

I have many blog posts planned and a lot of pictures waiting to be uploaded however, after sitting down with pasta and checking through BlogLovin', I came around this post by Jen which redirected me to this post by Gemma of Retro Chick. And I knew I had to comment.
(The post by Gemma is from May however, clothes sizing is still a problem in the UK)!

Have you ever been shopping in a rush? You know, running around the store, finding something you love, not having time to try it on, buying it and then taking it home, trying it on and being disheartened because your usual size 10 is too small for you? I have. And I know I speak for many other women when I say I have.
In the world that we live in today, body image is a major part of society and every day we're surrounded by images of beautifully curved women with gorgeously shiny hair and perfect skin - and of course, we automatically believe that that is what we should look like. We aspire to be like them. But it's not possible. We're can't just airbrush ourselves like they can. Yet we don't care.. we still want to look 'perfect.' Aswell as being surrounded by these images, we're also enclosed with other images and news stories on eating disorders. Do you sometimes sit there whilst reading about eating disorders and feel sort of, helpless and maybe even a little guilty? I know I do.

It's not just the media that makes us feel this way though.. stores are doing the same. And by reading Gemma's post and joining in with her campaign. we as bloggers (and women) can change this.
Anorexia_large
So that's why I'm joining the campaign. I say enough is enough. We shouldn't be made to feel like crap by our favourite stores. We shouldn't have to be upset when our 'usual size' fits us - because that isn't our usual size. It's constantly changing.

”"
So join in! Speak up! And let's improve not only dress sizes but our confidence!
Also, I want to know what you think about the sizing in clothing stores? Are you a size 12 in one item and a size 18 in another? Let me know in the comments!

Blistex Lip Brilliance

If you're a regular reader of my blog then you know that I absolutely adore lip balms and they definitely take up a massive amount of space in my make up drawer at university. I always, always have one on me whether I'm just popping to the shop or going out on a night out. So obviously when I was offered to try out Blistex's brand new Lip Brilliance in Blushing, I jumped at the chance.
This lip balm nourishes the lips as well as the other Blistex products do however, it has a hint of colour - a beautiful, shimmery pink. It's perfect for wearing on its own for a toned down look or for added shine and another dimension on top of lipsticks. It also contains SPF15 to protect the lips against nasty sun damage and boosts lips fullness.
As you can see from the swatch above, the lip balm is a beautiful, girly pink colour with a hint of silver sheen. The 'glitter' in this product isn't chunky and you can't feel it on your lips. Also, a big must have for me when choosing my lip balm is the taste - you don't want to be putting anything that tastes vile on your lips, do you? Well this lip balm tastes lovely.. I'm really useless at describing tastes but it kind of reminds me of Lush's Bubblegum Lipscrub - not exactly the same taste but along those lines.

So if you're a fan of lipbalms or you're looking for a new colour to add to your lips then this is one for you. It's perfect in every way. And it's available now at Boots for just £2.49!
