Liz Earle Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion

I was recently sent the Liz Earle Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion to try out and I was once again, so excited! Before using this, I didn't use anything on my eyes. But now, I use this twice a day and wouldn't be without it.

The bottle is like the Instant Boost Skin Tonic whereby you twist the cap up to reveal a little opening and you just squirt the product onto a cotton wool pad and you're set to go! You can use this lotion to wake up eyes and clean them or you can soak 2 cotton wool pads in the lotion, place them over your eyes and just relax. This is the way that I've been using the lotion:
Morning - Soaking two cotton wool pads in the lotion, placing them underneath my eye area (where my bags/dark circles are), leaving them there for around 5 minutes and then wiping around the rest of my eye area. This wakes up my eyes so much! In fact, it refreshes them that much that I don't actually use concealer underneath my eyes anymore. Amazing uh? I must add that I don't have bad bags/dark circles but they're bad enough for me to not like them and use concealer.
Nighttime - I use a tiny amount to wipe around my eye area after cleansing. This refreshes my eyes because after I've had mascara/eyeliner/eyeshadow on all day, my eyes look tired and horrible. This also removes every last trace of eye make up that my cleanser may have missed out.

I highly highly highly recommend this product. It has become such a staple of mine that I feel lost without it if I don't use it!
What products do you use on your eyes? Has anyone else tried this?

My Top 3 ..

This week's top 3 is.. my top 3 lipsticks!
I'm sorry to say that they're all MAC lipsticks!

L-R Kinda Sexy (Matte), Lazy Day from To The Beach collection (Lustre), Saint Germain (Amplified)

And they're swatched in the same order as above.

I love MAC lipsticks. Their formulas are amazing, they last a pretty long time and they smell gorgeous! And also, they do hundreds of different colours. My favourite has to be Kinda Sexy because it's incredibly wearable and perfect for daytime or night time. My Lazy Day lipstick is slowly becoming smaller each and every day and I have to be careful with it because it's LE. Saint Germain isn't very wearable and I normally apply it very lightly because it's so bright!

What are your favourite lipsticks?

Hair Routine

I do believe that I've done one of these before but I thought it'd be nice to show you an updated version of what I use to keep my hair in good condition. So firstly, my hair type is oily, long and flat. Sounds horrible don't it? Except for the long part I guess. It's an absolute nightmare trying to keep my hair volumised and looking fresh but I've found a routine that works for me. Also, I'll add that I wash my hair daily - I know this is what could be making my hair greasy however I just cannot imagine the state my hair would be in if I let it go unwashed for a few days - yuck!

This is what's featured on my 'hair care shelf.' I'm sorry that it's pretty dark - I have no idea why! If there's anything you'd like to know more information about, please do let me know :D

L-R Tresemme Heat Defence Styling Spray, Tresemme 24 Hour Body Amplifying Mousse, Tresemme 24 Hour Body Blow Dry Lotion, Tresemme 24 Hour Body Root Boosting Spray

These are the styling products that I use. I haven't included hairspray because that changes whenever I run out as I'm still trying to find the 'perfect' hairspray. As you can see, I love Tresemme products. They work very well for my hair and they're affordable too! The 24 Hour Body range is just incredible and out of the 3 products shown here my favourite is the Blow Dry Lotion. I use the Heat Defence Styling Spray whenever I'm using heat on my hair and then I change between the other 3 depending on which one I feel like using.

L-R James Brown Intensively Glossy Rescue Treatment, Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Luscious Long, Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Split End Protection Cream

Because I have long hair it's so important to make sure it's in good condition - long hair that isn't in good condition just looks horrible! I will use the James Brown hair mask whenever I feel that my hair is lacking in moisture. This isn't very often but when I do use it, it's amazing! You only need to leave it on for 30 seconds and it literally works wonders. The Aussie 3 Minute Miracle is something that I brought the other day and so far I'm loving it. I shampoo my hair with a build up removing shampoo (see below), apply this all over and rinse, then I use my normal shampoo and rinse and then repeat my applying this to the ends of my hair. I do this about twice weekly and my hair is already looking better than usual! The Herbal Essence Beautiful Ends cream has been in my collection a while now and it's still going strong - I use this daily and it keeps my ends in tip top condition.

L-R Superdrug Green Apple & Lime Shampoo, Tresemme 24 Hour Body Shampoo and Conditioner, Liz Earle Botanical Shine Conditioner for Oily Hair

I use the Superdrug shampoo when I use my Aussie mask to remove buildup. This shampoo is meant for oily hair and if it added volume it would be my number 1 shampoo but unfortunately it doesn't. It's a  cheap shampoo and it's great for reviving my hair and getting rid of any product build up. Once again you can see the Tresemme 24 Hour Body Shampoo and Conditioner making an appearance - I love this range! Both these products are amazing and I honestly don't think I'd use any others! The Liz Earle conditioner is one that I prefer over the Tresemme one -  I have no idea why, I just do!

I'd love to know the products that you use to look after your hair - please let me know :D

Sleek Storm Palette

I've never really done a proper review/swatches on this palette but it's my 2nd favourite ever (after UD's Naked Palette) so I thought I would. I know there's a lot of reviews and swatches floating around the blogosphere so please do forgive me if you've already seen them. If you haven't then basically, you need this palette! When I brought it it was just £4.99 but I do believe it's gone up to £5.99. For 12 eyeshadows, it's a complete bargain.
Please do excuse the dirty packaging - no matter what I do it just doesn't stay clean.

Unfortunately the eyeshadows don't have names. Sleek have started putting names on their eyeshadows thank god. But for now I've just going to name them myself - they're not going to be creative by the way!
Top Row L-R - Light Gold, White Gold, Matte Brown
Bottom Row L-R - Dark Brown, Light Blue, Dark Green

See what I mean about un-creative names hey!
Top Row L-R - Other Gold, Light Pink, Maroon
Bottom Row L-R - Dark Blue, Dark Matte Brown, Black

L-R Light Gold, White Gold, Matte Brown, Other Gold, Light Pink, Maroon

L-R Light Gold, White Gold, Matte Brown, Other Gold

L-R Matte Brown, Other Gold, Light Pink, Maroon

L-R - Dark Brown, Light Blue, Dark Green, Dark Blue, Dark Matte Brown, Black

L-R - Dark Brown, Light Blue, Dark Green, Dark Blue, Dark Matte Brown

L-R - Light Blue, Dark Green, Dark Blue, Dark Matte Brown, Black

Whilst swatching these, I noticed that some are a bit similar to a few shades from Urban Decay (Naked Palette). Whilst these swatches aren't entirely true to life, they do give an indication on how similar the colours are - ish.
L-R Sleek Light Pink, Urban Decay Toasted, Sleek Maroon

L-R Sleek Other Gold, Urban Decay Half Baked, Sleek Light Gold

L-R Urban Decay Sin, Sleek White Gold, Urban Decay Naked, Sleek Matte Brown

There's a pretty big difference in spending over £10 for just one eyeshadow compared to spending £5.99 for 12 so if you're on a budget, I do recommend the Sleek palette. But I'd definitely suggest investing in the Naked Palette. It really is a bargain and worth the money!

As for Sleek's eyeshadows? As you can tell they're incredibly pigmented and really long wearing. I only own this palette from them and that's because it's a neutral palette but if neutral colours aren't your think, definitely check out their other palettes.

Sleek is available from most Superdrug stores in the UK! Does anyone else own this palette? Or any Sleek items?

My Eyeshadow Collection

I don't have many eyeshadows; mainly because I'm not that interested in them. I have a few palettes and a few singles, mostly which are drugstore brands. However, I only tend to use my Urban Decay Naked palette just because it's that good! I'm not going to swatch everything you can see in the above picture (I'm just going to show a few of my favourites) however if there's something you'd like to see more closely or swatched, let me know!

L-R Flutter Palette, The Body Show Frosted Glitter, 2x Sleek Storm Palette, 17 Night Sky, 17 Glitter Spirit, Urban Decay Side Car, Urban Decay Gun Metal, Urban Decay Sin.

And here are these swatches more closely..
L-R Flutter Palette, The Body Show Frosted Glitter, 2x Sleek Storm Palette, 17 Night Sky, 17 Glitter Spirit

L-R 1x Sleek Storm Palette, 17 Night Sky, 17 Glitter Spirit, Urban Decay Side Car, Urban Decay Gun Metal, Urban Decay Sin.

L-R 17 Mardi Gras, 17 Chalice, MUA Shade 3, No7 Stay Perfect Mousse in Pewter, Maxfactor Smoky Eye Effect in Onyx Smoke (the white and black), Bourjous Shimmering Shine Liquid E/S in 36

L-R Bare Minerals Glisten, The Body Shop Mineral Eyeshadow in Radiant Graphite, Purus Sheer Bronze, No7 Stay Perfect Antique Rose, No7 Stay Perfect Truffle, No7 Stay Perfect Khaki.

And finally, I thought I'd show you this beautiful little palette that I received in a swap.
It's so beautiful! I tried swatching it but as you can see from the above pictures, the eyeshadows merged a little bit :( I not be using this because it's just too pretty to ruin haha! But this is No7's Eye Colour Palette in Paradise.

What are your favourite eyeshadows?
