The Halo Wipes range

I love beauty products that are small and portable. So as you can imagine, I'm a big fan of the brand Halo. Established in 1987, the Halo range has been produced for women who want to look good and stay feeling fresh no matter what the day ahead brings. The handbag-essentials make life that little bit easier and I've fallen in love with them. I even have a little make up bag inside my handbag dedicated to Halo wipes. The brand has recently started working with Binky Felstead and I've included a lovely Q&A video below for you to watch.

Without a doubt my favourite of the bunch. These make the transition from day to night incredibly easy. One pad is enough to do both eyes and the hypoallergenic and fragrance free pads make them suitable for even the gentlest of eyes. You don't have to vigorously rub your eyes in order to remove the make up but instead, a quick swipe and you're good to go. A lifesaver. And they even work on waterproof make up.

I'm a big believer in hygiene and I always have an antibacterial hand gel or set of wipes on me. These wipes are perfect for when there's no sink around and a tissue isn't going to cut it. For example last night, I was in Chimichanga and despite being 21 now, I made a bit of a mess with the sauce. These Hygienic Wipes took me from sticky to fresh in an instant and I was ready to get Ben & Jerry's afterwards.

Deodorant Wipes* - £1.20
I haven't had a "real reason" to use these other than the fact they sounded cool. England hasn't reached summer yet (in fact, our Spring is pretty lacklustre too) so I don't find myself needing a quick deodorant touch up yet. However, I have used these a couple of times at the start of the day and they work wonderfully. They don't leave white marks on clothes and they keep you fresh as a daisy throughout the day.

These beauties have become an absolute staple in my cleaning kit. I've repurchased them a few times already and I believe I will continue to do so. I use one of these every couple of days to quickly clean and refresh my bedroom as they leave any surfaces sparkling, germ free and smelling sweet. They're perfect for the kitchen and bathroom too as they protect against e-coli, e-faecalis and other bacteria.

I'm not too sure if these will completely replace toilet paper for me but when I'm out and about, these certainly come in handy. They have a mild chamomile formula that leaves you feeling fresh and clean after you've, you know, used the loo. A great concept and once again, I think these will be even more perfect when summer comes around.

Have you tried anything from the Halo range before? What's your favourite product?

Three Mobile's #SingitKitty Campaign

I'm just going to hold my hands up and admit it - I'm an advert geek. I love watching adverts and I get all excited when a company does it right. In fact, when I first saw Three mobile's #SingItKitty advert, I couldn't contain my excitement; it has a singing cat, what's not to love? I mean, the cat's one thing but that girl... isn't she adorable?! I've since watched the advert countless times on YouTube so when I was contacted by Three to see if I wanted one of their iPhone 5s #SingItKitty phone cases*, I couldn't refuse. The phone case itself is gorgeous and extremely sturdy and since using it, I've had countless compliments. I'm not sure where you can get your hands on your own version but it's worth scouring the net for if you're as big of a fan as I am. As well as the adorable advert, you can star in your own #SingItKitty advert here. You can view mine here where I seem to be singing out of my nose haha!

Link your own #SingItKitty adverts below - I'd love to see them.

Getting to know your DSLR workshop & a few photography tips + exclusive offer

For Christmas, my "main present" was a Nikon D3100 SLR camera which was my first ever SLR. As a result of this, my dad and stepmum booked me onto a "Getting to Know Your SLR" workshop to help me along the way. I'd never used a SLR before and my knowledge of my camera was extremely basic, so as you can imagine, I was pretty excited for the workshop. The other Saturday, I headed over to Bakewell (which is such a beautiful place) and after a scary drive - I'm a bit of a nervous driver - I took part in the workshop. I learnt a hell of a lot and I decided to write a few things down for you lot.

Aperture Priority
Without a doubt the best setting for bloggers. If you're taking images of things that are still - for example, a lipstick or a person - then this is the setting you should choose. If you have a Nikon, it can be found by turning the top right hand dial to 'A.' The bigger the hole, the lower the "f" number which will end up blurring your background like the photo above; perfect for taking images of beauty products. The smaller the hole, the higher the "f" number which means that less light is getting into the lens and the focal area is much bigger, therefore lessening the blur.

Shutter Priority
I knew nothing about Shutter Priority until this class as I'd always used my camera for taking pictures of still products. However, this setting is wonderful if you're taking images of anything that's moving. This setting can be found on a Nikon by turning the top right hand dial to 'S.' The bigger the shutter speed, the quicker the shutter closes and therefore the crisper the image. The photo above was taken using a lower shutter speed of 1/15th which meant the shutter closed slowly and therefore made the water look dreamy. If this would've been taken with a higher shutter speed (say 1/500th) then the water would have been crisp and you would've been able to see droplets.

ISO
Lots of bloggers talk about bumping up the ISO in low light conditions and whilst this is a wonderful way to brighten up your images, it's also creates a lot of horrible "noise." The ISO should be one of the last things you adjust. I'd recommend never going above 800 ISO if you'd like to keep your photos crisp, sharp and noise-free. A better way to inject light into your photos is to bump up the Exposure Compensation a little bit as this doesn't jeopardise the quality.

I learnt many other useful things including: AF-Area Mode; Focus Mode; White Balance and Metering. If you're interested in another post, please do let me know. If you're interested in taking part in the course yourself then you can find out more information here. I'd highly recommend it. Joy is such a lovely woman and she explains everything perfectly. After a workshop in the morning and the most delicious homemade pie at dinner, you and the rest of the group embark on a photography walk around Bakewell. If there's anything you don't understand, Joy helps you along the way with her extensive knowledge.

If you'd like to participate in Joy's fabulous workshop then she has said if you contact her (joynewbouldworkshops@gmail.com) and say that Bamboozle Beauty sent you, she will charge you £32 for the full day including lunch instead of the RRP of £100!

What are your top photography tips? Have you ever been to a photography workshop before?

Current Wishlist

First of all, do you know how hard it is to find stock images of products for wishlist posts?! No matter what I type into Google, the image tab is always filled with beautiful images by bloggers. Great for the community, not so great for wanting to compile a wishlist - it made me want to buy these products even more! But anyway, I managed it in the end (although it did take me a few hours longer than it would've done four years ago, bravo bloggers, bravo)!

Of course, being a Britney fan it was inevitable that her two new fragrances were going to make the list. Fantasy Nice and Fantasy Naughty are two new fragrances that have taken the exact same notes from the original Fantasy, remixed them and created two completely different scents. The Nice Remix is said to be fruity and sparkling whereas the Naughty Remix is more sensual and musky. At £23 each, they're not cheap when you want to buy them both so I'm waiting for them to be released into Boots so I can use my staff discount - waiting is not a good thing for Britney fan, sigh.

Since I discovered they do £15 student discount at UNiDAYS (even on sale items) I've fallen head over heels in love with In Love With Fashion. The two playsuits above are from the brand and I've been lusting over them for a while. Both the Mint Oriental Print Playsuit and the Lemon Diamond Back Playsuit would be perfect for my holiday in July. "I need them both" is an understatement.

A few days ago, I'd had enough of my foundations so I found myself perusing Boots in search of a new one. I swatched many and instantly fell in love with the Bourjois Happy Light Foundation. The texture was gorgeous however, I needed a fail-safe foundation that would cover everything and I was unsure if the coverage of this was good enough. So I went with a different one. Since then, this foundation is all I've thought about it. I think I need it.

I've had my current Tangle Teezer for a long time now - ever since they were first released - but I've always lusted after a Compact version. They're more expensive than the original ones, but they're perfect for throwing into your handbag and taking with you when you're travelling. The Tangle Teezer Compact Styler in Feline Groovy is one that has caught my eye for a while. And I've managed to find it on a website called Hairtrade for a couple of pounds cheaper than it would be in Boots - bonus!

A couple of LUSH products I've got my eye on is the Oatifix Fresh Face Mask. Made up of bananas, oatmeal, vanilla and almonds, this mask smells good enough to eat. I've currently got a small sample sitting my fridge waiting for me to use it and I can't wait. I've recently replaced my cleansers with LUSH ones so I'm soon due a free face mask (with their loyalty "bring your old pots back scheme) and think this is the one I'll be getting. At the Meadowhall blogger's event, I fell in love with the Emotional Brilliance range and one shade in particular that caught my eye was the Sophisticated Eyeshadow. I decided to invest in the Strong Lipstick at the time instead but I haven't been able to get this eyeshadow out of my mind since (swatch here).

The weather is getting better and my skin is getting oilier so I'm in desperate need of a new moisturiser. One I've tried before (only a tiny sachet sample unfortunately) and fell in love with is the Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer. It smells delicious and is lightweight on the skin. I think this is the year that I finally invest in this beautiful moisturiser.

What items are currently on your wishlist?

Korres Wild Rose Collection

Korres is one of those brands that regardless of your age, you're bound to enjoy their products. And with Mothers Day just around the corner, the Korres Japanese Rose Gift Set* makes a beautiful gift. Including the best selling products; Japanese Rose Body Milk, Japanese Rose Shower Gel and Wild Rose Lip Butter, this trio is the perfect way to celebrate Mothers Day and say "thank you" to your loved one.

The Japanese Rose Shower Gel is extremely moisturising on the skin and leaves it almost glowing. It has an array of goodness inside of the product including Aloe, vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc and antioxidant enzymes which all work together to enhance the skin's immune system. The scent is very delicate and uplifting and is the perfect way to to kick start the "rose routine." Follow this up with the Japanese Body Milk for extra silky skin and another layer of scent. The body milk is lightweight, sinks into the skin nice and quickly and provides long-lasting hydration. Finally, the best product of the bunch (in my opinion) is the Wild Rose Lip Butter. Packed with moisturising and healing properties and enriched with Shea Butter and Rice Wax, this lip butter hydrates the lips and leaves them feeling soft. Not only that, but it has a beautiful red/fuchsia pigment that really makes the lips "pop." Perfect for no make up, make up days.

You can buy this kit here where it retails for just £20 (a saving of 23% if you were to buy the products separately).

Have you tried any of Korres' Rose products before? What are you doing for Mothers Day?

MAKE UP | Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette

Using White Chocolate, Champagne Truffle, Candied Violet, Black Forest Truffle and Hazelnut
If you follow me on Twitter then you'll probably know that I'm not the biggest fan of Urban Decay's Naked 3 palette. I didn't buy it instantly when it was first released (despite being extremely excited about it) and instead held off a couple of months. If I'm being 100% honest, I shouldn't have bought it. I didn't need it, I knew I didn't need it and now I have it, I don't use it. Ever. Although it is beautiful to look at and certainly looks stunning sat next to the first, second and Basics palettes. So it remains in my collection, looking pretty but untouched. But this post isn't about the Naked 3, it's about the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette.* Trust when I say that this palette is perfect. I even considered leaving this review at "it's perfect, buy it, you need it" but that wouldn't make me a very good blogger.

First of all, the packaging. It looks like a bar of chocolate. And that's not where the chocolate-similarities end. If you open this palette up, it smells like chocolate. Not the fake chocolate smell, but real chocolate. And everywhere I take this palette, I open it up and get my friends and family to have a whiff. Their faces are priceless as the smell is truly delicious. You may be thinking; why would I want a chocolate-scented product on my eyelids? Well, you probably don't. And luckily for you, the smell doesn't transfer but it's a nice little added extra that certainly takes this palette from being a 10/10 to an 11/10, if that's possible.

Secondly the shades themselves. You have your highlighters, your crease colours, your eyeliners, your typical lids shades, your shimmers, your mattes, your "I'm-feeling-a-little-bit-daring-today" shades. Everything you could possibly want from a neutral palette you have right in front of your eyes. There are 16 shades (the two highlighters being double the size) and each of them has a chocolate-esque name; once again, an added extra that makes the palette that little bit more special. Glided Ganache, Black Forest Truffle, Triple Fudge, Salted Caramel, Marzipan, Strawberry Bon Bon, Candied Violet, Cherry Cordial... I could go on and list all 16. Aren't they adorable?!

Thirdly, the pigmentation and blendability of the shadows are second to none. I didn't swatch the shadows because quite frankly, Temptalia does a good enough job of it and I couldn't compete or do them justice (and my lighting is terrible at the minute - I hate this overcast weather). One swipe gives you an intense pigment and the shadows are extremely creamy and easy to blend, making that perfect smoky eye even easier to achieve. I didn't doubt the formula for one second as when it comes to eyeshadow palettes, no one does them as well as Too Faced do.

And finally, the price. At £45 it seems steep and it's more expensive than the Naked 3. However at Debenhams at the minute, you can get the palette for just £39.50 which works out at £2.46 per shadow. And when you look at the quality of the product you're getting, that's an absolute bargain. As you can probably tell, I'm absolutely addicted to this palette and it's the one I reach for daily. I brand it as the most perfect nude eyeshadow palette, ever and when I received it through the post, I almost rang my mother in tears - I was that excited. And if you're interested, you can buy your own here.

What are your thoughts on this palette? Have you tried any of Too Faced's offering before?

MAKE UP | KIKO Rock Attraction Bronzer in Loud Tan

Despite being extremely pretty and beautiful to look at in the pan, when I first received this product, I quickly dismissed it. The embossed zip is stunning and a lovely touch to KIKO's Boulevard Rock collection however, the colour just looked too dark; to the back of my collection it went. But over time, I started seeing reviews pop up and lots of other bloggers were saying how sheer and stunning it is on the skin. So out it came; and since that day, I haven't not used it in my routine.

KIKO's Rock Attraction Bronzer in Loud Tan* has been inspired by the alternative London underground music scene. The collection itself is said to encapsulate street soul with sought-after products that have a multitude of versatile textures and colours that allow you to experiment. First of all the packaging is something I can't not mention. The denim embossed box it comes in really kicks off the whole "Boulevard Rock" vibe, and the bronzer itself comes with a decent sized mirror and of course, that beautiful zip detailing.

As I mentioned earlier, this bronzer is sheer and it's very hard to overdo it. You can use this to contour as it's matte, or to add a bronze glow all over the skin as it provides a subtle radiant finish. The description of this product says the bronzer is "shimmering and vibrant," but that's something I don't agree with. It's not packed with glitter - in fact, I can't find any glitter in it at all - and that for me is perfect. This bronzer is fine, subtle and buildable. You can go as natural or as dramatic as you want, and the creamy texture blends into the skin like an absolute dream, bronzing up your complexion as you go, giving an almost airbrushed finish.

Retailing for £15.90 it's more expensive than a lot of high street bronzers, but it's completely changed the way I look and apply bronzers. For the first time in my life, contouring is easy. And that's something I never thought I'd say. You also get a whopping 12g of product which is going to last forever... or at least I hope so. I never want to run out of this. You can buy this bronzer here.

Have you tried anything from KIKO's new collection? What's your favourite bronzer?

LUSH Emotional Brilliance wheel

LUSH Sophisticated Cream Eyeshadow - my next purchase

Oatifix, smells incredible

Our homemade LUSH face masks

DressPrimark
TightsPrimark
BootsNew Look
NecklacePrimark

Yesterday morning saw me rising from my pit at 5:20am; I know, I don't quite know how I managed it either. But it was most definitely worth it. Myself and eleven other bloggers/PRs headed down to Meadowhall in Sheffield for a Blogger's Breakfast and two mini LUSH workshops. First stop was Caffe Rizzoli (which is just outside of House of Fraser) for a delicious breakfast. I started off with a tea and then chose the Ham, Mushroom and Mozzarella offering and it was beautiful - next time I visit Meadowhall, I will most definitely be having it again.

After lots of nattering and introductions, it was time to visit LUSH. You could smell the gorgeous scent from around the corner and we couldn't wait to get inside. First up was the Emotional Brilliance range. Although I've seen the range in store before, I'd never actually researched into it or tried it for myself. We found out that a lot of research had gone into the range and each colour - which has been named after an emotion - represents said emotion; such a beautiful and genius idea.

LUSH has their own Emotional Brilliance Wheel which tells you how you're feeling right at that moment, what you need more of and how you feel in general. I chose Lifted, Quietly Motivated and Intuitive, all which I believe to be a somewhat accurate representation of me. In terms of colour, I fell in love with Sophisticated (which is swatched above). It looks like the most beautiful eyeshadow base ever. I also ended up buying one of the lipsticks in Strong. A gorgeous orange-red shade, but I'm not going to lie, I bought it for the name. If I'm ever having a rough day and feel I need strength, this is the lipstick I'm going to be rocking. At £14.50 the Emotional Brilliance range isn't cheap but the pigment and quality is outstanding and if there's one thing I took from the day, it's that LUSH's make up range is perfection.

Afterwards, we moved onto the skin care section. We learnt about LUSH's cleansers, toners and moisturisers and we were all quickly amazed at Ultrabland - a make up remover - which instantly dissolved any make up with just a tiny amount. After this, we made our own face mask. The face mask we made was Catastrophe Cosmetic* which is packed with blueberries, calamine, chamomile, rose and almond oils which soothe and soften the skin. I loved getting messy and stuck in, and it'd always been a dream of mine to make my own LUSH face mask. The end result was wonderful and I used it in the bath tonight. My skin feels gorgeously soft and my angry blemishes have been calmed down.

After cleaning up, we were told we could take home one cleanser and one toner. At first, I'd considered Let The Good Times Roll as it smells delicious - just like fudge. But after much deliberation, I decided that Ultrabland* would be better for me. I've used it twice since and I will be doing a full review on it because I'm in love. I also decided to go for the Breath of Fresh Air Toner* as it's very refreshing on the skin - the perfect pick me up.

All in all, it was the most lovely morning and I was gutted I couldn't stay for longer as some of the girls went shopping. Meadowhall was the perfect setting and without a doubt one of my favourite places to shop. Not only does it have the best shops, a wonderful food court and an affordable cinema all under one roof, but the parking is free too which is a major plus for me. I'm glad Meadowhall has big blogger plans! The other girls who attended were absolutely lovely and hopefully we'll all meet up again soon. You can view their fabulous blogs by clicking on their names: Beth, Becky, Charley, Georgina, Mary & Rose, Clare, Joanna, Phoebe and Jade.

Thanks to Meadowhall for inviting me!

Currys Ultimate Blogger Workout Playlist

The other day I got an email from Currys asking if I wanted to contribute to their Ultimate Blogger Workout Playlist. Of course, I couldn't resist. I'm not a gym buddy by any means - although I did go to Zumba last night - but I do love music. I asked my sister for a little bit of help considering she's a personal trainer and came up with three songs for the list. One of them (Britney's Work Bitch) sadly couldn't be included due to the lyrics, but you can view my choices and the entire playlist here or using Spotify below.

Try Manuka Doctor's hero products FREE

We all love a good freebie, don't we? When it comes to skin care in particular, in can be hard splashing our cash without trying a product first. We don't know if it's going to work in harmony with our skin, and we certainly don't know if the claims are a little bit OTT. So when free sample packs are offered by brands, I get all excited.

The Manuka Doctor Mini Hero Kit* is a good 'un. Containing a 7ml sachet of the ApiNourish Rejuvenating Face Mask, a 5ml sachet of the ApiClear Skin Treatment Serum and a 3ml sachet of the ApiRefine Targeted Wrinkle Filler, this little kit allows you to get a feel of the products before deciding whether or not they're for you. If the products take your fancy, there's also a 25% off your next order voucher.

The kit itself retails for £12.99 usually, however you can order it now and pay just £2.50 for P&P - an absolute bargain. I've actually tried the Skin Treatment Serum before (cue old and embarrassing review here) and I absolutely loved it; it worked wonders on my scarring and skin tone in general. I can't wait to try it again and see if I can rekindle my love for it (and also experience a few other goodies too).

You can order your free kit here. Have you tried anything from Manuka Doctor before?

Marshmallow Blends; the perfect Lush alternative

I've loved Nicoletta for a long time now. Her blog was one of the first ones I followed and over the years, we've kept in touch. Back in 2011, she opened up her very own online shop called Marshmallow Blends which I've kept up to date with since the start. I constantly see the delicious products that she's currently making and testing out on Facebook and dream of getting my hands on a few of the products. Recently, I got the opportunity to try some out (and now, I can't wait to branch out further).

This soap is aimed at those with oily or problem skin. With activated charcoal, rose clay, tea tree oil and grapefruit essential oils, this soap gently cleanses the skin and keeps it looking clear and healthy. I received this just as my beloved Clearasil face wash ran out and this became a godsend. I haven't used a bar cleanser for a very long time and although it was strange at first, I've been loving it. It doesn't foam up much but instead creates a small lather of what feels like silk that massages into the skin and removes any impurities. I've only been using this in mornings so I can't comment on what it's like with make up removal, but when it comes to keeping shine at bay throughout the day, this is actually perfect.

I love my lip balms and this one has made its way to my coveted bedside table of beauty products. This lip balm is bursting with natural butters and oils that all work together to hydrate and keep lips soft and supple. This scent in particular - which is Sugared Rose - is one that I didn't think I'd like originally. I'm not a rose fan at all but this (like Korres) has converted me. It's a sweet rose that is relaxing and perfect for smothering onto your lips before bedtime.

I do love my bath bombs, and having tried all of the Lush's offering, I was excited to branch out into another brand. The topping is a bath melt and the base is a bath bomb which has been made into a beautiful sweet shop favourite fragrance. The scent fills the room and for hours after, my housemates were commenting on how delicious the bathroom smelt - literally exactly like the sweets. It was uplifting and relaxing at the same time. The bath bomb itself didn't change the colour of the bath but it did add bubbles and moisture which left my skin feeling incredible soft afterwards.

Colgate MaxWhite ONE Optic Toothpaste

The best decision I've ever made was to get braces. I won't go into too much detail about my braces or my story as I've done a post here and I'm planning on doing a huge one when I get them off. The only problem with braces is whitening your teeth is a big no-no. And seeing as I'm a massive tea drinker, my teeth have ended up badly stained. A few months ago I decided to use teeth whitening products anyway; I've planned on having my teeth professionally whitened after my braces have been removed so I didn't think it could cause any harm. One product I've been using and loving is Colgate's MaxWhite ONE Optic Toothpaste.* Currently priced at just £2.24 (as an introductory offer) instead of the usual price of £4.49, this toothpaste is an incredible way to whiten your teeth fast.

Using a unique optical brightening technology, this toothpaste provides a temporary visible whitening effect that instantly brightens your smile. The first one of its kind in the UK, the optical brighteners form an invisible sheen on your teeth, which reflects blue light and instantly makes your teeth appear whiter. As well as this, the added stain removers provide a progressive whitening action to give you long lasting whiter teeth. When I first read about this product, I thought that it was too good to be true. But the proof is in the photo above. Brushing your teeth (without spitting) for two minutes in the morning really does leave you with a dazzling smile - up until you eat, when it starts to fade away. Not half bad at all. This toothpaste also tastes like Spearmint Polos which is a major added benefit.

As mentioned earlier, this toothpaste is available to buy here where it's currently on offer for a bargainous £2.24.

What's your favourite teeth whitening products?

NAILS | Models Own Speckled Eggs Collection

L-R Duck, Goose, Swan

Goose

Eeeeeeek, how beautiful are these?! My entire schedule went out of the window when I received these nail polishes. The second Models Own collection this year is a pretty pastel collection that's perfect for Spring/Summer. "Speckled Eggs" has been inspired by ornate bird egg shells and once on the nails, I'm instantly reminded of Mini Eggs. These nail polishes add some texture and dimension to your manicure with a semi-matt, mottled finish, they're too beautiful to miss out on. The names - Dove (cheeky pink), Duck (cornflower blue), Goose (mellow yellow), Magpie (mint green) and Swan (dreamy lilac) - make the collection that little bit more adorable. My favourite? Goose, of course. I love yellow nails. I've had these on my talons since Friday and so far so good... no chipping, nothing. My nails look as perfect as they did when I first applied the polish. I'm 100% addicted and I will most definitely be buying the others in the collection when they're released.

These polishes will retail for £5 each and they're launching in Models Own Bottleshops on the 8th of March, online and in Superdrug stores on the 12th of March and in Boots stores on March 19th.

What are your thoughts on this new range?
