REVIEW: Superdrug Deep Action Anti Blemish Gel

"Superdrug Deep Action Anti-Blemish Gel - formulated with the maximum concentration of salicylic acid, a know acne fighting ingredient, for immediate and effective results.
It targets blemishes by penetrating deep into the pores, and cools and soothes to reduce inflammation, resulting in a clearer complexion.
Tested on spot-prone skin. Dermatologically tested."

I brought this when Superdrug first introduced their new 'Deep Action' range. This range is aimed for spot prone skin and claims to help clear up skin in just 4 hours. The range was introduced at just £1.49 and I did want to try out more products however, I didn't. Mainly because the ingredients within this range are chemical and I prefer much more natural ingredients so that my skin doesn't dry out. My skin was at an all time low and I decided it was time that I got a much harsher product to use on my skin and help to dry my spots this - this caught my eye immediately.

This did clear up most of my spots within a week which is pretty amazing and I was happy, yet it did dry my skin out on the areas that I applied it to. My skin is combination and can get really dry in places and this just made it worse. It also stings a bit when applied to a spot and for this reason, I highly wouldn't recommend it for sensitive skins. It can however, be applied under and over make up and it's small enough to throw into a handbag for touch ups throughout the day.

So, although this cleared up my skin and I saw results from day 1, it does have a lot of downsides. But for the price, if you're looking for a quick alternative for clearing up spots and have oily skin, you should definitely give this a try.
