My current skin care routine incl. Korres, Superfacialist, Indeed Labs,Estee Lauder, Origins, Clinique and Nip + Fab

Hello! I hope you're all well? It's been a while, hasn't it. Safe to say that a lot has happened since my last post. First of all, it's my 22nd birthday today. It's been a lovely day, except my car has pretty much broke. But it's bittersweet because I'm going to be getting a new one. I'd been planning to get one anyway (because I've been taken on permanently at the Nottingham Post - I'm now a trainee reporter... Told you it'd been an exciting couple of weeks).

Anyway, this is without a doubt my favourite post to write - even though they don't seem to pop up that often. I used to be one of those people who tried absolutely everything PRs sent me. My skin is quite temperamental and I've suffered with spots and scarring for around nine years now, so I should've known better. Over the past three-or-so months, I've stuck to a skin care routine religiously and it's almost hard to believe how much my skin has loved me for it.  

Cleansers

Superfacialist Vitamin C+ Skin Renew Cleansing Oil - £10.99

I've tried them all - balms, milks, gels - but I always come back to this cleansing oil. When it comes to make up removal, it's safe to say I'm an oil-person. This one by Superfacialist immediately melts away make up, leaves the skin feeling silky smooth and best of all? It smells like oranges. It's very affordable, and it's almost always on offer.

Korres Wild Rose Exfoliating Cleanser* - £18.00

I'm still on the look out for a perfect face wash and at the moment I'm mixing between these two (And the Good Things Manuka Honey Creamy Cleanser, which I think is going to make it in my skin care routine full time). The Korres Cleanser is a real treat to use and the exfoliating elements completely banishes any dry patches and leaves my skin feeling exceptionally soft. 

Nip + Fab Deep Cleansing Fix - £7.95

I'm still not sure about this one. It's definitely a treat to use and a proper bargain but I think it might be a bit too heavy for my skin. It's a thick cream that's great for removing any last scraps of make up and eliminating dry patches, but I can only use it a couple of times a week when my skin is feeling extra parched and in need of a bit of love. 

Serums and treatments

Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Jelly* - £24.99

As I've mentioned, I have combination skin which means it's oily in places, yet dehydrated and I'm prone to dry patches. I use either this Moisture Jelly or the Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Facial Serum* - £24.99 in the morning before I apply my moisturiser. I'm undecided on which one I prefer as of yet but they both leave my skin feeling hydrated throughout the day.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II - £49

I've used this for many years now, but I've never invested in a bottle - it's always been sachets. But my dad bought it me for Christmas and I'm obsessed. This is a miracle in a bottle. It does everything you'd possible want a skin care item to do, and more. It's pricey, but an absolute gem and something I'll continue to repurchase because it works wonders on scarring.

Superfacialist Vitamin C+ Dark Circles Eye Cream* - £12.99

I've been switching between this and the Origins GinZing eye cream for a while but I've finally settled on this one from Superfacialist. Despite its more affordable price tag, it's a lot better. It instantly awakens the eye area, keeps it moisturised and perfectly preps your peepers for eye make up.

Epiduo Gel - prescription only
I used to have severely blemished skin but now my hormones have settled down, it's rare that I get spots. I probably get a couple every month or so, if that. I use this gel whenever I feel a corker coming on and it immediately stops it in its tracks. I must also mention the Yasmin pill because that's helped my skin no end. 

Moisturisers 

Origins Ginzing Moisturizer - £23.00
I bought this on a whim with my first proper wage and I'm very glad I did. First of all, it smells delicious. And yes, that's the reason why I first purchased it. It's a gel consistency that instantly sinks into the skin and leaves it hydrated, balanced and soft. It's been a saviour throughout the winter as it's lightweight enough to use under foundation, yet moisturising enough to eliminate my dry patches.

Clinique Turnaround Overnight Radiance Moisturizer - £36.00
This is quite new to my collection and sadly I've fallen in love with it. I say sadly because it is being discontinued (or reformulated) but I'm sure the new version will be even better. It's a dream to use and I wake up to beautifully radiant skin. I haven't been using it long enough to comment on the affect it's having on my scarring, but I can't fault it at the moment.

Body skin care routine with Baylis & Harding's Great Body range

Hands up, who's guilty of putting a lot more effort into their facial skin care routine than their body skin care routine? I'm most definitely a culprit. It's no secret that when it comes to looking after the skin that isn't on my face, I'm just not interested. For me, it's always been a lot of effort and I've always lived by; "well, no one sees it that much anyway." But I've decided to take a stance, and now I'm investing a lot more time into my body skin care routine.

Baylis & Harding was the turning point for me. They've invented a fabulous Great Body skin care routine with a total of five easy to follow steps. I've been using three of the five steps, and I also added a lovely little product by Nivea to the clan. It's safe to say, I won't look back and body, I'm sorry for neglecting you so much for the past 21 years.

The routine starts off with the Baylis & Harding Great Body Polish* which is pretty standard for a body scrub. The scrub itself uses Walnut Shell as an exfoliant as well as Shea Butter and Coconut Oil to moisturise and soften the skin. It's pleasant to use, easy to use - body scrubs in tubs are a pain - and smells clean and fresh. Next up is the Baylis & Harding Great Body Wash* which uses skin conditioning Pro-Vitamin B5 and Glycerin to hydrate the skin and leave it soft and supple. This body wash lathers up beautifully and envelopes the skin to leave it smelling great and feeling like silk. The bottle is also a whopping 500ml and comes with a pump... need I say more?

The penultimate step in my new routine is the Baylis & Harding Great Body Lotion* which also comes with a pump, what a godsend. The lotion uses Tego Smooth® which is a recently launched patented multifunctional 48hr moisturiser that aims to reduce skin roughness whilst protecting it from external influences. This body lotion truly is lovely. It adds to the already beautiful scent and sinks into the skin nice and quickly. I then finish my routine with the Nivea Q10 Plus Goodbye Cellulite Gel-Cream on my thighs and bum area. I haven't noticed a massive difference yet but I'll keep you updated. It is, however pleasant to use and really cools the skin.

Also in the Great Body range is the Great Body Mist and Great Body Firming Cream which I'm hoping to add to my routine. Overall, this range is incredible and as I mentioned at the start of this post, it's completely changed the way I view looking after my body. In terms of the texture of my skin, I've seen an improvement and my skin feels healthier too. The Great Body range is available to buy in Waitrose.

My current skin care routine feat. Garnier, No7, Lush, Epiduo, Ponds & Bio-Oil

I think it's safe to say that I'm a complete and utter skin care addict. Skin care was the reason I started blogging; I have bad skin - that's no secret - and I'd tried out a lot of products so I wanted to get my opinions out there. Since then (over four years ago) I've tried out even more products and nothing makes me happier than seeing a comment, tweet or email from you guys letting me know that my recommendation has helped your skin care woes. Skin care, in general, makes me happy. I was watching skin care routine videos on YouTube last night and I was literally like a little girl in a sweet shop. But enough of that, here's my current skin care routine. It's changed a little bit since the last one and my skin is doing well at the moment.

Make up removers:

No7 Beautiful Skin Eye Make-Up Remover - £8.50

At first, this eye make up remover seems quite expensive however with No7's £5 vouchers (and my staff discount), this ends up being a bargain. I'd compare this to Lancome's Bi-Facial as they work in the same way and get the same results. The oily formula instantly dissolves all eye make up and makes removing waterproof mascara a doddle. I don't use this daily, just on those days when my eye make up has been particularly heavy.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - £4.99 (currently £3.33)

I have fallen head over heels in love with this product. I was always a Bioderma fan but I still find it hard to get a hold of in the UK and it works out quite expensive. So when I saw Garnier's version on the shelves, I had to get it. Dare I say it's better than Bioderma? I certainly think it is. It's a fraction of the price, breaks down make up instantly (I only need one cotton wool pad to completely remove a face of make up) and leaves the skin feeling soft and nourished. This is a product that I use when I'm feeling lazy with make up removal.

LUSH Ultrabland Cleansing Cream* - £6.95

On most days, this is the make up remover I use. I thoroughly believe in the double cleanse and you may know that I use to be a massive fan of Super Facialist's Vitamin C Cleansing Oil. However, since getting this cleansing cream from LUSH, I haven't gone near the oil. I adore this product as it breaks down make up exceptionally well and leaves my skin feeling incredibly nourished and soothed. A lot of people comment on the scent of this and while it's nothing to rave about, it certainly isn't unpleasant like many people say. I doubt I'll stray from this cleansing cream, it's perfect, and dare I say, a wonder product?

Cleansers:

LUSH Let The Good Times Roll Cleanser - £6.35

I'm not going to lie, I bought this because of the scent. It smells like fudge and leaves my face smelling good enough to eat. However, I've now been using it a couple of weeks and it's become my favourite cleanser. All you have to do is a scoop a little bit out of the pot, mix it with water to create a paste and you have your very own exfoliating face wash. It buffs away dead skin cells and leaves the skin looking glowing and feeling incredibly soft and subtle. Since using this I've found my make up application to be flawless - foundation glides onto the skin. 

LUSH Breath of Fresh Air Toner Water* - £7.50

Once again, this is another product I use if I'm having a lazy day. It's not something I believe I'll repurchase once I've ran out as I can't see many benefits when using it but it's a nice little extra. I keep it next to my bed in case I'm in need of a quick pick me up throughout the day as the scent is really uplifting and soothing. It doesn't really do much to my skin other than gently cleanse it (when I use it first thing on a cotton pad) or refresh my make up.

Moisturisers:

Garnier Moisture Match Wake Me Up Revitalising Hydrating Gel - £5.99 (currently £3.99)

I've been in need of a lighter moisturiser for a while now. I originally wanted to invest in the Origins GinZing Moisturiser but I saw this gel doing the rounds on blogs. It was on offer for £3.99 in Boots and of course, with a price like that I just couldn't resist. I'm very glad I picked it up as it's lovely. It's really refreshing on the skin and feels lightweight but nourishing. It doesn't interfere with my make up but instead, creates a beautiful 'awakened' base. One of the best moisturisers I've tried.

Bio-Oil* - £8.99 (currently £5.99)

Bio-Oil is a product that I've dabbled in since my teenage years but over the past few months, it's become a firm favourite of mine. I use this as my night time moisturiser as it's wonderful for balancing the skin and diminishing any scars and redness. I have noticed a reduction in my scarring since using this and the other day my housemate commented on how calm my naked skin was looking. Bio-Oil really is the perfect night time moisturiser as it's moisturising, sinks into the skin quickly and rejuvenates the skin whilst you sleep.

Treatments:

Epiduo - prescription only

I won't go into too much detail about this product as I've mentioned it a few times before. But if you don't know, this is my daily spot cream that I use every single night on top of Bio-Oil without fail. A combination of this and Yasmin (the contraceptive pill) has really helped to clear my skin up no end.

Ponds Eye Contour Cream* - £7.99

I don't have any problems with my eyes - the only area of my skin that's actually decent - but I do believe that prevention is better than cure. I use this eye cream every morning and every night as it isn't heavy and sinks into the delicate eye area nice and easily. The long term benefits include: reduced puffiness, smoothed out wrinkles and nourished eyelashes.

SKINCARE | Updated Routine (with before/after photos)

The main reason I started blogging was because of my bad skin. It's no secret that I've been cursed with what can only be described as "nightmare skin." Since those awful teenage years, my skin and I have been at a constant battle with each other. I've tried literally hundreds of products, mixed and matched, splashed out money on "must-haves" and shed many tears. However more recently, my skin has cleared up. And I do believe it's because of my current skin care routine. The images above is what my skin currently looks like - to you, it may not seem like much but when you think about how my skin has looked in the past it's a beautiful miracle.

Super Facialist Vitamin C+ Skin Renew Cleansing Oil - £10.99

Oh I could talk about this all day long. Whenever people ask to be recommended a pre-cleanser, I always recommend this one. It's completely changed my skin care routine. Not only is it great value for money (£10.99 for 200ml and it's almost always on offer) but it does an exceptionally good job at dissolving and removing every single trace of make up. It smells like oranges and leaves my skin clean, clear, refreshed and glowing.

Clearasil Ultra Blemish + Marks Wash and Mask - £5.79

I bought this on a whim when I was going through a rough patch with my skin. I'd used Clearasil as a teen but steered clear when it bleached my eyebrow. However, I was at my wit's end and needed to clear my skin up quickly before Freshers Week. This was on offer and I'd read a few reviews saying it was decent. The reviews were right; it's fabulous. It's a creamy face wash that I spread all over my skin and leave for a few minutes while brushing my teeth. Once I've removed it with a hot flannel, my skin is left feeling beautifully soft and not dry at all. It helps to keep my spots at bay and ensures that any nasty marks that have been left behind are removed asap.

H2O Plus Face Oasis Hydration Treatment* - £27.50

I've owned this treatment since the end of 2012 and despite using it daily, I'm only just starting to run out of it. You need the tiniest amount all over the skin and you're instantly given a boost of hydration. I think it's similar to Hydraluron (but much prettier) and feels like jelly to apply to the skin. It's quite expensive - the most expensive thing in this routine - but like I said, it's lasted me absolutely ages and ensures that foundation doesn't cling to any dry patches.

L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Day Moisturiser* - £14.99

I've chopped and changed my daily moisturisers more times than I've been to McDonalds. But this one seems to have stuck with me. I do mix it up every now and then but most of the time, I reach for this one. Massaging it into the skin feels like silk and instantly the skin is blurred and almost perfected. It's also very lightweight so perfect for everyday use yet extremely hydrating and nourishing. I have combination skin so I tend to get dry patches but this (and the Oasis Treatment) sorts those areas out like a dream. Oh and the cream itself is pink and the packaging is bright pink, a girl's dream!

Epiduo & Yasmin - prescription only

My two prescription saviours. After years of begging the doctors to help me, they finally prescribed me some wonderful things. Epiduo is a gel-cream that I apply after Bio-Oil at night. It never made my skin dry (although I know a few have experienced irritation around the eyes) and it never made me break out further. It's been an absolute godsend and something that I use without fail. The contraceptive pill is controversial but when you think about the millions of women on it, it can't be that bad, ey? For me, it's worked well in terms of my skin. Apparently this is the pill to go on if you're wanting to sort your skin out and considering I can't take tablets (seriously, I still struggle with this tiny pill now and won't take any other form of tablet) this is one that I refuse to miss.

Bio-Oil* - £14.99

As a young adult, I dismissed Bio-Oil. I believed it made my skin worse when I was younger however that could've been my hormones or my lack of cleansing routine. 6 years later, I've gone back to this stuff and it's sorted my skin tone out spectacularly. It's working hard on my deep, old scars and I am seeing minor improvement in them. But before using Epiduo, I had a massive breakout on my forehead (something I never experienced before) and it left behind many red scars/marks. Since using Bio-Oil, those scars have all disappeared and now, my forehead is completely blemish free. As far as skin tone goes, it's perfect. I use this as a nightly moisturiser; a couple of layers is enough and it hydrates my skin and leaves it glowing the next morning.

Pond’s Eye Contour Cream* - £7.99

Now I'm 21 and quite frankly, getting old, I decided it was about time I used an eye cream. This one is fragrance-free and formulated with Vitamins A, E and B5 which all work together to improve the skin's structure and its hydration levels. I use this morning and night and after a few minutes, my eyes are de-puffed and hydrated. It's nice and affordable and does exactly what I want it to.

Night time skin care routine

So here it is ladies and gentlemen, my night time skin care routine. Yesterday I posted my day time skin routine and so I could write bigger mini reviews, I decided to split them up into two separate parts. I do use quite a lot of products in my skin care routine but all of them work really well with my skin type. I did mention yesterday the kind of skin that I have but here it is again for reference: I have combination skin that is pretty oily in the t-zone but can get quite dry around any blemishes. I am prone to blemishes and I get the odd spot every now and then. I used to have really bad skin which has left me with awful scarring and hyperpigmentation on my skin (which you can see here). I also sometimes get blackheads on my nose and my pores are quite large.

No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Balm - £9.00

This is my night time make up remover. It's really kind and gentle on the skin and removes make up quickly and efficiently. I apply the product to my palms and massage it into dry skin until all of my make up has been dissolved. After this, I remove with water and flannel and my skin is left looking very clean. I find that it's great to use on waterproof make up and lifts any dirt and grim from the skin leaving the it feeling soft and supple. I've done a full review of this product here.

FaceB4 Daily Cleansing Foam - £14.95

You can quite easily use the Cleansing Balm alone but I'm a big believer in double cleansing so I use this Cleansing Foam afterwards. I mentioned this yesterday but before "discovering" this, I hated cleansing foams; I thought that they were useless and a waste of time. But this is absolutely incredible. I haven't had a breakout since using it and my skin feels beautifully soft after I've washed it away. It's quick and easy to use and it smells clean too. I can't find a fault in this at all and it's perfect at washing away any left over Cleansing Balm.

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads - £12.99

I've done a full review of this product here and I also mentioned them in my day time skin care routine. I use these twice a day because in the mornings, they instantly brighten my complexion and at night, they get to work on my scarring. When I wake up, my skin feels beautifully soft. As I mentioned yesterday, these are safe enough for every day use and they don't dry the skin out or make it any oilier. I definitely want to try out other forms of acid exfoliation but for now, these are perfect.

Eucerin Even Brighter Spot Corrector - £14.50

I use this twice a day - in the mornings and at night - to help fade my spots quicker. It feels light on the skin and despite its chemical smell, it's a pleasure to use. I can't emphasise enough how important it is to use extra SPF on your face when you're using brightening products (I have an SPF post coming tomorrow) so make sure you do. Like I've said before, I've not seen any major reduction in my scarring as my scars are pretty deep but I can definitely notice a minor difference.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo* - £13.00

Like I mentioned yesterday, I love this product because it clears out my pores and helps stop breakouts. It's lovely to use in the day as it's very light but it's also great at night time as it's refreshing. I use this twice a day to ensure that spots don't reappear and to keep them at bay. It's a great all round product and does exactly what it claims to do. I've done a full review of this product here.

b.liv shrink and tighten+ large pores diminishing night complex* - $49.00

This isn't something that will completely eliminate my pores for good but it does help to tighten them overnight. I apply this all over my skin before going to sleep and when I wake up, my pores look visibly reduced and more refined. This has been formulated with L-ascorbic acid and it stimulates collagen production at night which helps to tighten pores. I've been enjoying using this product and I definitely think I will repurchase however unfortunately it's quite hard to get a hold of in the UK. It's a must have if you dislike the appearance of your pores.

Eucerin Even Brighter Night Cream - £23.50

Unlike the Day Cream from this range, this is very light on the skin and feels like a hybrid of a cream and a gel. But don't be fooled by its texture - it's very nourishing and moisturising and replenishes your skin overnight. I love the light texture of this cream as it's refreshing on the skin and a pleasure to apply. As I've mentioned before with this range, I haven't seen a massive difference in my scarring - wow I'm like a broken record with that one - but I've noticed a difference in the appearance of my skin, the way it feels and hopefully in time, my scarring will fade dramatically.

And there you have it! My night time skin care routine. As I also mentioned in this post, tomorrow's blog post will be about my favourite SPF's for the body and the face and for me, SPF is the most important skin care product that I use. There's no point in using all of these products to help fade my scarring if I don't help prevent further hyperpigmentation from forming. Do you use any of the same night time products as me? Daytime skin care routine

I've been asked a few times whether or not I'll do a post on my skin care routine and considering I know a lot of you suffer with the same skin problems I do, I thought I would. My skin care routine is something that I change up quite a lot - I blame being a beauty addict for that - but this is one that I've stuck with for quite a while. I've noticed a reduction in blemishes, oilyness, blackheads and even my scarring so it's something that is definitely working for me. I've decided to split my skin care routine up into two separate posts - day and night so that I could go into further detail about the products so tomorrow's post will be my night time skin routine. For reference, here is a little bit of background information about my skin: I have combination skin that is pretty oily in the t-zone but can get quite dry around any blemishes. I am prone to blemishes and I get the odd spot every now and then. I used to have really bad skin which has left me with awful scarring and hyperpigmentation on my skin (which you can see here). I also sometimes get blackheads on my nose and my pores are quite large.

FaceB4 Daily Cleansing Foam - £14.95

Before finding this Cleansing Foam, I hated any kind of foaming face wash. I thought that they were absolutely useless and just stripped the skin of its natural moisture. But this Cleansing Foam is face wash perfection. Granted it's not the best at removing make up but I don't use it as a make up remover - just a face wash. It removes dirt and grime from the skin and once washed off, leaves the skin feeling beautifully soft and looking clearer and brighter. I haven't had a break out since using this Cleansing Foam and it does a wonderful job at keeping my oil at bay throughout the day. Overall, it's a wonderful face wash that I can see being in my routine for an awfully long time. I've seen a lot of people complaining about its price but £14.95 for clear skin - and two products in one - isn't a lot for me at all. It's definitely worth the money.

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads - £12.99

After cleansing my skin, I use these Exfoliating Facial Pads all over my skin to exfoliate and tone it. I've done a full review of this product here and since then, I've repurchased them. They're quick and easy to use and also gentle enough to use daily. After I've sweeped one of these over my skin, it looks brighter, clearer and it's almost perfectly prepped for make up. These haven't dried my skin out nor have they made it oiler but they balance my skin nicely and since using them, I've noticed a minor improvement on my scarring.

Eucerin Even Brighter Spot Corrector - £14.50

I've been using this product for a little while now and it's something that I think I'll always repurchase. I apply this twice a day to my most prominent scars and leave it for a couple of seconds to sink into my skin. The smell of this is pretty chemical but it feels light on the skin and it's something that you don't notice is there. When using this you do have to use a high sun protectant and be careful where you apply it because essentially it is bleaching the skin.

b.liv off with those heads* - $49.00

When it comes to blackheads, I'm not something who is willing to squeeze them out of my skin. It doesn't look pretty and it sounds painful so instead, I tend to use a face scrub in the hope that they'll eventually disappear. However, this gel makes it much easier. It's very light and cooling on the skin and I've been applying it once a day in the morning on my t-zone where I'm prone to blackheads. The product claims to remove blackheads and whiteheads in 14 days of daily application however I found that after five days, mine had completely disappeared. I've also noticed that my t-zone hasn't been as oily since I've been using this which means I no longer have to powder throughout the day.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo* - £13.00

This has to be one of the most loved products in the blogosphere. I do believe that literally everyone has tried this product and I can definitely see why. If you haven't heard of the Effaclar Duo then basically it's a complete skin care solution that aims to purify pores and reduce the appearance of imperfections. The thing that I love the most about this product is how light it is - if you're someone who suffers with breakouts then you'll know that spot treatments tend to be drying and quite heavy but this one isn't at all. I use it like a serum and it leaves my skin feeling soft to the teach. It's definitely cleared out my pores and it's rare that I get a breakout these days. Eucerin Even Brighter Day Cream - £22.50

This day cream is lovely. It sinks into the skin beautifully and preps the skin for make up very well. I've really enjoyed using this and so far, I've barely made a dint in my tub as you only need a tiny amount. It smells really pleasant and since using Eucerin in my skin care routine, my skin tone has definitely improved and make up is starting to apply better. I will be continuing to use the Eucerin Even Brighter range and hopefully, I'll report back to you my thoughts as scarring reduction definitely takes time.

So there you have it! My daytime skin care routine. Tomorrow's post will be my nighttime skin care routine and I'll just give you a little warning now - a few of the products will be the same. My every day routines

Now exams are finished and I pretty much have absolutely nothing to do, I've gotten into a few good routines that I wanted to share with you. I've always been good with skin care and that's something that I will never, ever slack on. However when it comes to looking after my body, it's something that I always used to skip over. I'd apply moisturiser before a night out and that's pretty much your lot for the week. But I've recently discovered a lovely moisturiser that makes moisturising a pleasure. I've also been looking after my feet a lot recently and I'm just putting together a foot care post so that will be up soon. As for hair, I've always enjoyed looking after my hair but recently I've become more religious with it. Probably because I've gotten into a good routine of only washing my hair a few times a week instead of every day. This means that my hair has "repaired" itself so now it doesn't turn greasy when I apply any kind of product - wahoo! 

Body:
Stylfile S-Ped Curved foot file & exfoliator* - £8.99

Ooh this is a little beauty! Invented by the winner of the 2011 Apprentice - already a wonder product in my eyes - this has been shaped to fit the contours of the feet to make filing and smoothing your feet easier than ever. It also catches any "droppings" so you don't end up with a messy floor. Think of it like a better designed Ped-Egg. It comes with a filing side and a smoothing side, both are replaceable and easy to use. This just makes looking after your feet a whole lot easier and it also does a wonderful job too.

Veet Hair Minimising Body Moisturiser - £5.25

I bought this in Boots a few week ago because it was in the Clearance section. I'm really hoping that it wasn't there because it's being discontinued as I've now found my favourite ever body moisturiser. This claims to minimise the appearance of body hair so that you don't have to shave as often. Normally, I have to shave my legs daily which is an absolute nightmare however, applying this daily means that I only have to do so every four days which is a marked improvement. The formula of this is also really lovely. It's light and smells really fresh - it almost reminds me of suncream which reminds me of summer. Definitely a win in my eyes.

Footner Hard Skin Removal Pen - £10.95

This is another product that I bought from the Boots Clearance section - they really should stop putting me upstairs for work as I just can't resist that little section. The pen idea is a bit of a gimmick. There is no need for it and it makes applying this harder than it should be. But the actual cream is wonderful. It really penetrates deeply into the skin and instantly smooths the feet. I use this on areas of my feet that require a little bit of extra love and attention particularly my toes as the pen makes applying it there easier.

Flexitol Heel Balm - £4.95

I didn't mean to include this one in my every day routine, I was supposed to include the Boots Maintenance Balm as that's the foot cream I use in the day. However, I'm now back at home so can't really re-photograph. I will be reviewing the Maintenance Balm in a foot care routine very soon. The Flexitol Heel Balm is the foot cream I use at night a few times a week as it's really intense. It instantly improves the condition of my feet and if you have badly cracked heels then you need to stop reading this blog post and go out and buy it right now. It's incredible.

Hair:

TIGI Bed Head Totally Baked Hair Meringue* - £13.50

Although my hair is long, I don't have a lot of it. It's incredibly fine and never holds volume or curls. I love using hair mousse as it gives my hair a little bit more "oomph." This one doesn't disappoint - I use it before blowdrying and it gives off the appearance that my hair is fuller. It also smells incredible. Lemon meringue is my all time favourite dessert and it reminds me of my childhood and that is exactly what this smells like - yum. The scent also lingers on your hair all day long and I've often been complimented on the smell. If you see me and you notice me wafting my hair around like I have neck cramp - I think I look like a model personally - you know that I've used this.

TIGI Bed Head Sugar Shock Bodifying Sugar Spray* - £12.50

This is another product that smells incredible and takes me back to my childhood. Do you remember those "Amazing Amy" dolls? For some reason, this reminds me of that smell. It's very sweet and it adds extra volume to your hair. It also adds texture so it makes curling my hair that little bit easier. I use this when I'm having a "I-can't-be-bothered-to-do-my-hair-today" day as it's quick and easy to use.

TRESemme Split Remedy Leave-In Treatment* - £5.69

My hair is really long and I don't get it cut as often as I should do - oops. So it's vital for me to take really good condition of my hair. I've been using the TRESemme Split Remedy range since it first came out but this is the only product that managed to stay in my collection. It helps to repair and keeps split ends at bay and I use this every single day without fail.

OSiS Magic Anti Frizz Shine Serum* - £9.75

Now that it's getting warmer - she said - my hair has started to get a bit fly away so I've been using this serum to smooth the ends of my hair down. I have oily hair so I have to be pretty careful with what products I use on it. This serum doesn't weigh my hair down nor does it make my hair greasy - a win, win in my eyes. I also love the price of this - you really don't need a lot so it's guaranteed to last you a long time.

Skin:

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads - £12.99

I've reviewed these before and I'll continue to sing their praises for as long as I exist. I've really gotten into acid exfoliation recently as I think it's a nicer way to exfoliate the skin. These facial pads instantly make the skin look brighter and slough away any rough patches of the skin. Since using them, I've noticed a reduction in my blemishes and the appearance of a few of my scars which is always a bonus. I use these every single morning as they clear up my congested skin. In fact, I've just repurchased them!

Eucerin Even Brighter Spot Corrector - £14.50

This is a new addition of mine and I will be doing full reviews of the Eucerin Even Brighter range. I use this twice a day on my scarring and although I haven't seen a major reduction in my scars yet, I enjoy using it. It has a bit of a chemical smell which is off putting but it feels very light on the skin - almost like a spot treatment cream. I apply this directly onto my most prominent scars as I'm not too bothered about the ones that are more faded - I'll sort those out another time.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo* - £13.00

This is a blogger favourite. I don't know how it does it but it makes the skin look smoother, clearer and brighter. It also helps to keep spots at bay and provides a great base for make up. I use it as a serum underneath my moisturiser and I have done for a few months now. With a combination of this and the Nip + Fab Facial Pads I've rarely had a breakout and both of them work really well and clearing and exfoliating my skin. Like the Nip + Fab pads, I repurchased this yesterday.

Eucerin Even Brighter Day Cream - £22.50

Like the Spot Corrector, I don't have much of an opinion on this yet as I've only just started using it. However, I love the way it feels on my skin - it's not greasy at all and it provides the right amount of moisturisation for my combination skin. It preps the skin for make up beautifully and my skin feels soft all day long. As of yet, I'm loving this day cream and if I see improvements in my scarring then it'll be perfect.

Hair Care Routine

I don't think I've done a hair care routine in a really long time and recently, I've been loving the products mentioned below and I've stuck to them for a good few months now. I must also add that my hair type is long, fine and is very prone to oilyness. So I look for volumising products that don't grease up my hair.

I always use the John Frieda Full Repair Shampoo* (£5.89) and conditioner* (£5.89). I really don't think this will ever change. I've mentioned both of these products a lot before and I really love them. They're great at cleansing the hair without stripping it of its natural oils. I also love that they don't weigh the hair down and on their own provide natural volume. For inbetween washes I use the Batiste Cool & Crisp Fresh Dry Shampoo (£2.50). I really like this scent but I do tend to just pick up a random scent when I'm in need of a new one. Batiste do so many and I want to try them all out! I've tried a lot of dry shampoos before (including more recently Superdrug's own which fyi, I hated) but I always come back to these ones. Probably because of the low price! My hair mask of choice is the TRESemme Split Remedy Split Mend Intense Recovery Masque* (£5.69). I've actually had this tub for around a year now and it's still going strong (although I don't have that much left). It's really nourishing and moisturising but it doesn't weigh the hair down or make my hair look more oily. I only need a tiny bit of this and I use it 2-3 times a week. Another product from the Split Remedy range that I love is the TRESemme Split Remedy Sealing Serum* (£5.69). I use this after every wash on the ends of my hair to make sure that my hair doesn't split. I have very long hair which means that my hair is prone to breakages but with this serum, my hair still ends up looking and feeling healthy. A classic product that I love is the Avon Advance Techniques Frizz Control Lotus Shield (£7.50). My sister actually bought this for herself and seeing as I'm the person who typically blowdries/straightens her hair, she gave it to me. I absolutely love it! It makes sure that your hair withstands the nasty, humid weather and it's great for taming frizz. I also love how smooth and soft this leaves me hair looking and feeling. I use this before I blow-dry my hair.

Heat defence for me is so important and I always use the TRESemme Heat Defence Styling Spray (£4.69) when I blow-dry/straighten/curl my hair, without fail. I've tried a few other heat defences but nothing compares to this one. I love the way it sprays out like a fine mist which means that it evenly coats your hair without weighing it down or making it greasy. Before blow-drying my hair I use the TIGI Bed Head Candy Fixation Totally Baked Hair Meringue* (£12.50) which is a mousse that adds volume. I love the smell of this! If you know me or you read my blog often enough then you'll know that lemon meringue is not only one of my favourite smells but also my favourite dessert so this takes me right back to that! Like all of the products in my hair care routine, this doesn't weigh the hair down or make it oily - I feel like a parrot as I'm repeating that a lot! But it's a must have for me. When I'm finishing off my hair I'll use either (or both) the TIGI Bed Head Candy Fixation Sugar Shock Bodifying Sugar Spray* (£11.75) or my Umberto Giannini Incredible Body Full Volume Hairspray* (£5.49). The Sugar Spray is great for adding volume and texture to the hair and I pair this with back combing and mainly use it throughout the day when I want a not so 'done' and polished look. The smell of this is also incredible. It reminds me of childhood and I love it so much! The hairspray is mainly what I use at night as it does a wonderful job of adding volume to the hair and keeping it in place all night long. It's also easy to brush out and doesn't crisp the hair up at all. Finally, I'll use the Percy and Reed Flawless Finishing Polish (£4.00) when I want a smoothed down look as it's great at taming frizz and flyaways.

ROUTINE: Quick & easy 2 minute flawless make up

For most of the summer, I've been working every day from 8-4:30 at my dad's work to earn a bit of extra money for university next year. Considering my dad works in Nottingham and we live in Mansfield, I have to wake up every morning at 6am. Now, at 6am the last thing I want to do is apply a full face of make up that takes ages to do so by trial and error, I've found a few 'wonder' products that literally take me a couple of minutes to apply.

Collection 2000 Coloured Mascara in Clear
This is what I use to set my brows with and I've mentioned it on my blog many times. It's cheap and it does a great job at not only holding my brows in place but also brushing through them.

Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint
This is a tinted moisturiser and it's the only tinted moisturiser that I own and probably will ever own. I don't have perfect skin and I need quite a lot of coverage so tinted moisturisers normally aren't for me. But this one is lovely. It's not sheer coverage - more like light coverage that can be built up where you need it. It's also quick and easy to apply and blends like a dream. I also love this because it's the only 'foundation' that's light enough for my skin at the moment and I haven't been fake tanning.

No7 Shine Free Make-Up Base
Because the foundation that I use is a tinted moisturiser, it's not that great at keeping shine at bay on my combination skin throughout the day so I do have to use a shine controlling primer. This one by No7 is really nice to use. It's sometimes hard to apply as instead of blending over the skin, it sort of drags in a way but it does control shine throughout the whole day.

Skin79 Super Plus Triple Function (Hot Pink) BB Cream
I love everything about this BB cream! I use this underneath the Liz Earle Skin Tint to provide me with extra coverage and it does just that. In a morning, I don't have time to apply sun protection but this one comes with 25++ SPF in it already. The coverage of this is fantastic - so fantastic that it's on par with foundation. It also lasts throughout the day and well, I just love everything about this. I did a full review of this product with before/after comparison photos here.

No7 Quick Cover Blemish Stick
As the name suggests, this covers imperfections quickly and easily. It's easy to blend and provides full coverage where you need it. I don't use it every day, just when I need a bit more coverage if I breakout.

Natural Collection Corrector Stick
If you have scarring then I highly recommend buying a green toned concealer stick to counteract redness. This one is £1.99 and it's really great. I use it after primer but before my BB cream/foundation and it really helps to cover up my scars.

17 Shine Control Loose Powder
My favourite powder. It controls shine, it's easy to use and it's really cheap.

HD Brow Palette
And finally, I have to fill in my brows using this palette. I never use anything else on my brows because this is just fabulous!

How I... Look After My Nails

I've recently started looking after my nails quite a lot. Before this routine, I pretty much just used to apply nail polish and that's it. And that's probably why my nail polish always applied gloopy and not nice. 

I start off by cutting my nails if they need cutting. My nails don't really grow that long but if they ever do then I'll use the Dirty Works Finger Nail Clipper* - £2.49. I then go on to filing my nails down. I'll either use the Dirty Works Printed Emery Board & Case* - £2.99 or the Anatomicals Nail File - £2.00. Both are great nail files are get the job done quickly but without breaking the nails and damaging them. The Dirty Works one is also great for travelling as it comes in its own case. I then use my No7 Nourishing Nail & Cuticle Care - £7.00 to soften my cuticle before pushing them back using the Boots Essentials Manicure Sticks - £1.00. The No7 Cuticle Care is something that I recently bought using the No7 £5 vouchers and it's such a lovely product. It does a great job of softening them and looking after them. If I need to trim any cuticles on the side of my nails then I'll use the Dirty Works Cuticle Trimmer* - £6.99 as it's really gentle, quick and easy. I'll then use the Dirty Works 4 Sided Nail Buffer Block* - £2.99 to make my nails look smooth and get them ready for applying nail polish. And finally, I'll use the Natural Collection Nail Colour in Clear - £1.89 as a base coat and a top coat as well.

 These are my nails. They aren't the most beautiful looking and that's one of the main reasons that I always use nail polish - to cover up them up. They're prone to breaking and they're very brittle but this routine that I do is pretty gentle and I've noticed an improvement in my nails since doing it. I'm hoping to invest in a base coat that strengthens the nails but I just can't bring myself to do it in case they don't work - it's weird how I'll always invest in skin care but not in my nails. So if you have any recommendations, please let me know!

And finally, I store all of my nail accessories in the Dirty Works Cosmetic Bag* - £4.99. It's a very nice bag that's just the right size. It's also great as you can just wipe it clean if it gets dirty.

My Footcare Routine

When it comes to summertime it's especially important to keep your feet looking in tip top condition - especially if you wear sandals a lot.. which I do! I though it'd be interesting to show you what products I use on my feet. I only use 4 and my routine is really simple, quick and keeps my feet looking smooth and feeling soft.

Liz Earle Foot Scrub - £10.45 & Foot Repair Moisturiser - £12.50

I've reviewed both of these products before and you find my reviews  here. I'm still loving both of these foot care products.. they do the job and smell gorgeous at the same time. They've changed the way my feet look and feel!

JML Heeltastic Heel Stick - £12.99

This product doesn't smell very nice at all and normally, I would stop using a product if I didn't like the smell. I know some people that don't mind this smell and some people say it smells lovely so I definitely think it's a personally preference. So don't let me opinion put you off! However, this heel stick is incredible. If you're like me and the skin you get on your heels is really dry then this product is for you! My Liz Earle Foot Moisturiser might be amazing but this heelstick adds even more moisture to the skin and REALLY softens the heels. Infact, after using this once I noticed a big difference in the skin on my heels. This texture is a balm texture and you only need a tiny, tiny amount and because the product is huge, it'll definitely last you a really long time.

PedEgg - £9.99

This is a wonder product.  

As you can see it has two sides to it. On the left is the side you use second in order to smooth the feet and on the right is the side you use to remove dead skin and 'file' the feet. Seriously, this does the job. It isn't painful, it removes dead skin, smooths the feet and best of all, it catches all the dead skin in the egg so you don't get skin all over the floor! I really cannot rate this product enough. It's amazing!

So this is the order I use these products and how often I use them:

1. Liz Eare Foot Scrub; every other day.

2. PedEgg; every other day.

3. JML Heel Tastic; every other day.

4. Liz Earle Foot Repair Moisturiser; once a day.

My feet are now in the best condition that they've ever been in. All 4 of these products work perfectly together to smooth and buff the skin to perfection.

UPDATED: Skincare Routine

It's been a while since I've done an updated skincare routine and the same for haircare - that shall follow very soon! 

Cleansers

At time moment I'm switching between two cleansers. In mornings I use Purity's Facial Wash, this really refreshes my skin and soothes it leaving it feel soft and supple. It also makes my skin feel incredible fresh and ready to face the day. I have used this on a full face of make up as well and it removes all make up and even eye make up. I've even gotten this in my eyes a few times and it doesn't sting - perfect! As for night time, I'm sticking with my trusty Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish because it really gives a lovely deep clean.

 Face Scrubs

I'm currently switching between St Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub and Purity's Facial Exfoliator. The St Ives is quite a harsh scrub but it really does the job wonderfully and on the plus side, it smells like babies! Well maybe not babies, but like Johnson's baby lotion. The Purity exfoliator is lovely and it's quickly becoming my favourite. The grains do an amazing job at brightening my skin and get deep down into my pores yet it's incredibly soft and has a sort of cream formula. This moisturises my skin at the same time as exfoliating it. I'm in love with it!

Face Masks

Yes they're all Liz Earle! I currently use these all once a week and this includes Liz Earle's Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask, Brightening Treatment Mask and the Deep Cleansing Mask. I really cannot find any better face masks than the Liz Earle ones and there's always going to be one for your skintype. I use the Nourishing mask when my skin is in need of a moisture boost, the Brightening one when my skin is looking dull and the Deep Cleansing one when my skin is an oily, spotty mess! And they really work. 

Specials

For my spots I'm still using my Liz Earle Spot On which is incredible at zapping spots and soothing them at the time same. For my eyes I'm using Liz Earle's Daily Eye Repair which is just incredible, I've seen an improvement around my eyes since using this and it also works instantly! And then at nighttime before my moisturiser I'm using Liz Earle's Superskin Concerntrate in order to soften my scarring and after I've used this for around 6 weeks, I'll be posting a review :)

Moisturisers

In the day I use Liz Earle's Skin Repair Moisturiser in Normal/Combination and then at night time, I use Purity's Regenerating Overnight Moisturiser. The Purity moisturiser is incredible. It's of a medium texture and it sinks so well into the skin, so much so that if my skin is dry one day, I'll use this instead of my Liz Earle one even though it's an overnight moisturiser.

Overall you can see that I mainly use Liz Earle and Purity with the added extra of the St Ives scrub. I really love both of these brands because they're natural and work for my skin type. Purity skincare is completely organic and I recommend checking out their website here. Every Liz Earle product that has been mentioned here has been reviewed elsewhere on my blog and you view these here.

I should also mention that my skintype is combination and is prone to blemishes. However with this skincare routine, my skin isn't dry or oily, it's just normal you could say. And I don't get blemishes often at all. I was wondering if I should do a sort of 'spot blog post' as I used to suffer with them terribly and I'd love to help current sufferers out? Let me know :)
