SEVENTEEN's Stay Time VS Collection 2000's Lasting Perfection

Concealer is one of those products that I don't believe you have to spend a lot of money on. There are so many good ones on the high street that it'd be silly to go more high end. One of my all time favourite concealers is Collection 2000's Lasting Perfection. I've been using it for years and I've stayed true to it for so long - I even have it in all four shades it's available in - well, you never know do you? So when I heard about SEVENTEEN's Stay Time concealer, I knew I had to do a comparison post on the two as they claim to do pretty similar things.

SEVENTEEN Stay Time Concealer - £4.49

I bought this on Monday (double discount at work, couldn't say no!) and I'm so glad that I did. I have enough concealers to last me a lifetime and Collection 2000's Lasting Perfection has been a long term favourite of mine now. I didn't know what to expect from this concealer as I hadn't read any reviews on it as it's pretty new but I do adore SEVENTEEN as a brand so I was definitely excited. Although my expectations were mediocre, it has completed exceeded those and I'd go as far as saying it's replaced my beloved Collection 2000 concealer. The coverage on this is as full as full can get and as you can see from the images above, it covered up my nasty scarring much better than Collection 2000's version. It also doesn't budge on the skin once it's been set with powder. I'd say that this is Estee Lauder's Double Wear with more coverage in concealer form. It stays on the skin all day long until you want to remove it. Consistency wise I do like this as it's very creamy and easy to blend. It doesn't settle into any pores but you do have to work quite quickly as it settles fast.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer - £4.19

I used to think that the coverage of this was as full as full could get but after using SEVENTEEN's version, I'd say this is pretty medium-full as I'm definitely left with some redness peaking through after using. The consistency is basically the same as SEVENTEEN's concealer as it's creamy and easy to blend but I'd say you get a bit more working time with this before it sets. It's also very good at lasting on the skin and I've never noticed any nasty breakdown even though I've been using it for over four years. It is a little bit cheaper than SEVENTEEN's concealer although not by much and it does have an extra "Deep" shade available. 

For me personally, I prefer SEVENTEEN's Stay Time concealer as I do love the extra bit of coverage it gives me over my scarring. My scars are my number one insecurity and the concealer covers them entirely which for me, is a miracle. Both the Collection 2000 and the SEVENTEEN concealers are pretty similar so it's good to have an alternative when the other isn't available - I know I've had trouble tracking down an instock Lasting Perfection over the years.

May Favourites

Shock horror! I'm actually doing a monthly favourites this month. Monthly favourites are some of my favourite blog posts to read however, it's rare that I ever do them myself for some strange reason. But this month, I've been loving a few products that I just had to share with you.

17 Lasting Fix Nail Polish in Tropical Island - £2.99

To me this nail polish is summer in a bottle. Formula wise, it's not the greatest. It takes at least three coats to look opaque and it can sometimes apply streaky but I swear to god, it's worth it. It's the most beautiful orange red colour with gold shimmer running through it. It's also very shiny and you can see a swatch of this polish on my Instagram here. Gorgeous, right?

Maybelline Express Manicure 3 in 1 - £3.49

Until now, I used to use the cheapest clear nail polish I could find as a base/top coat however, I found this in the Boots Clearance section and I haven't looked back since. My nails are stronger and it's rare that they break. Also, my nail polish doesn't stain my nail any more which is great considering my original nails were starting to look like a rainbow.

VICHY Dermablend in 25 Nude* - £15.50

I adore this foundation. It covers absolutely everything and I wear it almost every day. If you suffer with any kind of blemishes then I highly, highly recommend this as a foundation or even a concealer. It is perfect. It's full coverage, lasts all day and is light on the skin. You also don't need a lot of the product as it's extremely pigmented so it's definitely worth the price tag. You can read my full review (and see before/after comparison images) here.

Veet Hair Minimising Body Moisturiser - £5.25

For me, body hair removal is a chore. Before finding this moisturiser, I had to shave my legs every single day however now, it's around every four days. Moisturising is something else that I think of as a chore but this moisturiser is so light and lovely that it makes the job pleasant and fun - I look forward to it these days. I believe that this will remain a daily staple in my routine for a long, long time.

James Read Sleep Mask Tan* - £25.00

This is one of those products that once you've tried it, you can't live without it. It does exactly what it claims to do - tans your face and gives you a facial all while you sleep. After using this, I wake up to glowing, healthy skin. It doesn't make you orange, it doesn't apply streaky and you end up looking a little bit more tanned. I think it's wonderful at topping up your fake tan throughout the week. You can read my full review here. 

                                                                    Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette - £20.00

Ever since falling in love with the KIKO Long Lasting Colour Lip Markers (full review here) I've been wearing a more natural eye. And of course, the palette that I turned to for this was the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. When it comes to every day natural matte colours, this palette is perfect. The colours are nicely pigmented and they blend and last well on the lid - I highly, highly recommend. 

                                                                     Fake Bake Legal Sunburn Blush* - £8.00

This blusher has become my everyday go-to blush product. It's beautifully pigmented, soft and blendable and it leaves you with the most gorgeous flush of colour that makes you look glowing. I just can't believe how affordable it is as it's such a great, high quality product. You can see a swatch of this blush and my full review here.

So there you have it - the products I've been loving a lot this month. If I could have done, I'd have included all of the products mentioned in this post as well however, seeing as I only wrote about them the other day, I didn't see the point. I've been loving many products this month and I've discovered some little beauties so hopefully the same will happen in June and I'll be able to continue my monthly favourites throughout the year. What I wore on my eyes

The other day, I posted an outfit of the night post - which you can find here - and before I went out, I posted  this image on Instagram. It received a few positive comments and a lot of people wanted to know how I did my eye make up so I thought I'd do a blog post about it. I used a few colours from the Sleek Storm palette which I've had in my collection for a while now. I have two of them and I'm selling one in my blog sale if you're interested - shameless plug there. Since the arrival of Naked palettes, many others have taken a back seat so when I went out the other night, I whipped my old love out and was pleasantly surprised. I'm sure most people have owned a Sleek palette in their lifetime but if you haven't, let me tell you this: the quality of the eyeshadows are outstanding. They're pigmented, soft and really easily to blend. They're a pleasure to work with. The Storm palette is definitely my favourite and I purchased it three years ago which set off my love for eyeshadows - I owe it a lot. I wouldn't say it's a definite dupe for the Naked palette but it does come with both shimmery and matte eyeshadows and all of them are different variations of nudes. If you're a make up addict, you can't be without this palette. I used the Seventeen liner as my eyeliner as it's very easy to use and lasts all night and then finished with the Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara which gives me fluttery full lashes.

The high street foundation face-off

I will hold my hands up and admit it: I am a foundation junkie. I've been addicted to foundation since I walked into Debenhams, glared at the Clinique counter and purchased my first ever high-end foundation. I was 15 back then and from that moment on, I haven't been able to stop buying foundations. I will also admit to being a foundation snob. I believe that you get what you pay for when it comes to foundations and if you're going to splash out, you will get an amazing one at that. However, since discovering the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation, this opinion of mine has changed and there are some wonderful high street gems out there. So I decided to round up a few of my high street foundations and put them to the test on the four key areas that I look for in a foundation: the coverage, the longevity, the finish and the formula. I will pre-warn you... this is going to be quite a long post so grab a cup of tea and take a seat.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB £7.99:

Coverage: What coverage? There isn't any. I blend this into my skin and it literally does nothing. It doesn't eliminate any redness and it certainly doesn't cover my spots or scarring. When it comes to coverage, this is absolutely useless.

Longevity: I guess it's hard to judge the longevity of this foundation when there's nothing on your skin.

Finish: Like I said, there's no coverage so there's no finish.

Formula: The formula is lovely. It feels really nice, fresh and cooling on the skin. It'd make a great moisturiser if Maybelline rebranded the product.

Overall: 1/10. I would give it zero if it wasn't for the silky feeling it leaves on the skin.
Would I recommend it? Not at all. If you have perfect skin though, this would be great for you.

17 Miracle Matte £5.99:

Coverage: The coverage on this foundation is pretty good. It covers my redness and spots but it doesn't cover my scarring. I'd say it's medium coverage but it doesn't build up at all. If you apply any more than one layer of this, it will cake.

Longevity: This doesn't last very long on the skin at all. It starts to crack, crease and cling to my dry patches after about 30 minutes and after that, it just dissolves on the skin - even with a primer.

Finish: The finish is completely matte. So matte that it clings to the few dry patches I have on my skin. If you have extremely oily skin, this would be pretty good for you. Although the fact that it slides off your skin almost instantly would be a nightmare.

Formula: It's quite hard to blend and sometimes this foundation leaves tide marks. It applies well with a buffing brush though.

Overall: 2/10.
Would I recommend it? No. It gives really nice coverage but it just doesn't last at all. And the fact that it's hard to blend just makes this problem even worse.

Rimmel Stay Matte £5.99:

Coverage: This gives the same amount of coverage as 17's Miracle Matte foundation. They're pretty similar to be honest.

Longevity: This doesn't last long on the skin but if you use a primer beforehand, you get around four hours to wear out of it which isn't too bad. It's good for if you're nipping to the shops.

Finish: Completely matte finish but sometimes it does cling to dry patches. It's great at controlling oil though.

Formula: Easy to blend but sometimes does leave tide marks and can end up looking a little bit cakey if you apply too much.

Overall: 4/10.
Would I recommend it? Yes, I would recommend it if you have oily skin and are after a quick fix.

Maybelline Fit Me £7.99:

Coverage: The coverage of this is okay. I would say that it's pretty low though because it didn't cover my scarring at all. I think I was disappointed by the coverage of this foundation because I was expecting more.

Longevity: It lasts well on the skin. It does need to be powdered though to ensure it lasts and stays shine-free as it tends to look a little bit greasy on me after a few hours.

Finish: It has a nice finish. It's not dead matte but it's not overly shiny until a couple of hours wear.

Formula: I found this foundation to be like a gel formula as it glided over the skin and blended nicely.

Overall: 4/10.
Would I recommend it? For me, I didn't like it as I needed more coverage. But if you only require low/medium coverage, it will be perfect for you.

UNE Skin-matt Foundation £12.49:

Coverage: This foundation provides medium coverage that can be built up nicely if required. I wouldn't say it reaches full-on coverage though.

Longevity: This lasts nicely on the skin without the need for powdering because of the finish. I would recommend using a primer though just to ensure it doesn't slip off of the skin.

Finish: This is full on matte and is perfect if you have completely oily skin. For me, this clings to my dry patches after a couple of hours which isn't a pretty sight at all.

Formula: I find this foundation really hard to blend. It sets very quickly so it means you have to work it into the skin and attempt to blend it extremely fast which sometimes leaves tide marks and can look uneven on the skin.

Overall: 5/10.
Would I recommend it? The coverage and longevity is perfect. However, the finish and formula really do let it down. This foundation would be perfect for those of you with oily skin though.

Maxfactor Xperience £9.99:

Coverage: The coverage of this foundation is medium and extremely lightweight. It feels virtually invisible on the skin and looks like you're wearing nothing.

Longevity: With a primer and powder, this lasts beautifully on the skin. I do need to powder throughout the day after around four hours wear though to ensure a shine-free finish. 

Finish: This makes skin look like skin whilst improving flaws. So it doesn't give you a completely matte finish but it controls oil where it needs controlling whilst moisturising dry patches.

Formula: Like I said in the coverage, this is very lightweight and blends like a dream.

Overall: 9/10.
Would I recommend it? Yes. I really like this foundation.

Rimmel Wake Me Up £8.99:

Coverage: This foundation gives light/medium coverage but if needs be, you can build it up in certain areas.

Longevity: For a high street foundation this lasts quite well on the skin however, I do use a primer with it at all times because sometimes it can slide.

Finish: The finish is flawless, glowing and dewy. So if you have oily skin, stay away or powder.

Formula: I find this a little bit hard to blend sometimes and it can leave tide marks as it dries quite quickly.

Overall: 8/10.
Would I recommend it? Yes. If they improved the formula a tiny bit, this would be lovely.

Bourjois Healthy Mix £9.99:

Coverage: Medium, buildable. You can easily get full coverage with this foundation if you need to.

Longevity: With a primer, it lasts all day on the skin without looking cakey or sliding off of the face.

Finish: The finish of this is beautiful. It makes you skin look glowing, radiant and as the name suggests, healthy. It does sometimes look a bit greasy on my combination skin after a few hours but this foundation is so perfect that it doesn't bother me.

Formula: Beautiful, really beautiful. Blends like a dream and with a buffing brush you can really work it into the skin for a flawless finish.

Overall: 10/10. I really can't fault this foundation and it's even better than some of my high-end foundations.
Would I recommend it? YES YES YES!

The winner of this foundation face off has to be the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation. The only word to describe this foundation would to be perfect. It has incredible coverage, lasts all day long on the skin - and it's even suitable to wear on nights out, the finish is beautiful and the formula is outstanding. If you'd have asked me to show you my nail polish collection three years ago, it'd probably have consisted of around three polishes. Up until recently, I'd never been a nail polish buff. I just couldn't understand the fascination with painting your nails. I also hated - and still do - waiting around for my nails to dry. Once I've painted them, I always remember something that I should be doing and end up messing them up. But above is my university nail polish collection - I have more back at home but the fact that they're back at home proves that they're unloved - and I'm pretty impressed with it. Of course I'd love more but I'm happy with what I have at the moment; I have different formulas, different colours, different textures. I won't do swatches of them all - I think my nails would hate me if I did - but if there are any you'd like to see swatches of, please do let me know and I'll get round to doing so. My favourite nail polish brand is Models Own; I love the formula, the huge array of colours and textures and the price is outstandingly affordable too. As you can see, at the moment I keep my nail polishes in a Champney's box but when I get home, I keep them on a cake stand so that they can be displayed.

HAUL: Boots 3 for 2 Make Up

If you don't know already then apart from assignments and exams, I've finished my second year at university. So as it's Easter (and I don't have work on Sunday) I've decided to come back home for a few days to catch up with family and friends. Also, you might notice that these pictures have been taken on a different background. This is just because I haven't brought the wallpaper I use at university back home with me. This is the wallpaper that I currently have on my bedroom wall so I thought I'd use it. Do you prefer this? Anyway, when I got home I saw that I had a few vouchers from Boots and when I looked at them, I was pretty excited as one of them enabled you to get SEVENTEEN's latest mascara "Dolld Up" for just £2. Knowing that all make up is currently on 3 for 2 and realising that I was in desperate need of a top up of my favourite concealer and eyeliner, I rushed into Boots to pick a few things up. So as you guessed, the first thing I got was the SEVENTEEN Doll'd Up Mascara which retails for £6.29. This comes with a plastic brush and it aims to curl and volumise your lashes without clumping them. I'm yet to try this out but once I have done, I will report back to you. I also bought another tube of my favourite concealer, Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer. I'm sure that you've all heard about this before but it really is wonderful. It provides last lasting flawless coverage and it doesn't break the bank either. I then went to look for SEVENTEEN's Liquid Liner and found that they'd discontinued it so instead, I bought the SEVENTEEN Semi Permanent Liquid Eyeliner Tattoo Me. The brush is a little bit smaller than I'd have liked but like the mascara, I'll let you know what I think about it after I've used it. This mini haul should've come to £15.47 but with my staff discount, the 3 for 2 and my voucher is came to just £5.42 - bargain considering the mascara retails for more than that price alone.

EOTD: Naked Basics Palette

Since buying the Naked Basics palette, I've been loving simple, every day eye make up looks. The palette itself is beautiful and since writing my original post on it, my love for it has continued to grow.

My favourite look that I create pretty much every single day is a simple wash of W.O.S over the eyelid, Venus underneath my brows, Naked 2 in the crease and Faint in the outer corner of the eye and underneath the eye. The eyeliner that I used in these pictures is the Collection 2000 Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner in black and the mascara I used was 17's Blow Out Mascara in Blackest Black. The Naked Basics palette contains 5 matte eyeshadows and one satin eyeshadow which makes it perfect for creating basic, every day looks. I do sometimes use this on nights out though as it's very versatile and sometimes, shimmer isn't what I want. I love this look because it's simple yet effective and wakes up my eye area which is perfect for late nights and early lectures!

REVIEW: 17 Make Up Collection

When this make up collection came on offer a few weeks back, I immediately asked my mum for it for Christmas. When I saw it in the Boots Christmas catalogue, I wasn't interested. But after spending a day surrounded by it, I fell in love. It's a beautiful collection that really doesn't contain everything that you need make up wise. I originally wasn't going to write a post on it as I didn't think there'd be any left but when I was at work yesterday, I saw that we had a few left (in Lincoln) so I quickly wrote this post in case any of you wanted to check out your local stores to see if they have any left. (There aren't any online).

It's no secret that I'm a big 17 fan. I've featured their products a lot on my blog and I'm constantly searching their make up stand to see if they have any new releases. I think the brand provide great quality products at a low price. Some gems from the brand include their mascaras, liquid liner, face powders and their eye shadows. So even if your local store doesn't have this exact collection in stock, I'd definitely recommend checking out the 17 make up stand anyway.

 Pink Ice, Twinkle Toes, Fuzzy Yellow Petal, In The Nude, Very Berry lipsticks.

All of these lipsticks are nicely pigmented and glossy. I don't usually like lipsticks that come in a pan but these ones are lovely. They last pretty well for drug store lipsticks and feel nice on the lips.

 8 baked eye shadow powders.

These baked shadows are wonderful. They contain just the right amount of shimmer in them and they really do not budge once they're on the eye. They're also a pleasure to blend.

5 eyeshadow powders in Natural, Pink, Brown, Light Blue and Black.

Just like the baked shadows, these are pigmented, blend-able and have great longevity. 

Metallic Cream for eyes, lips and face, Bramble Frost blush, Limited Edition Bronzer, gel eyeliner in black, eye pencil in black, eye pencil in coffee.

The Metallic Cream is a lovely and I can't stop using it as a highlighter. The blush is a great every day shade and the bronzer adds a beautiful glow to the skin. The gel eye liner is very easy to use and lasts all day long and the eye pencils are just okay. As well as all of the above, you also get the following: Blusher brush, Eye shadow brush, Angled eye define brush, Lip brush, Eye liner brush, 17 Photo Flawless primer, sharpener, Hints & Tips book, Eye lash curler, Limited Edition Mascara in black.

This set is a beautiful set and it's great for those who are just getting into make up or those who love playing around with make up. The brushes are also good quality (especially the lip blush and the eye liner brush) and I also love the 17 primer. The eye lash curlers are just as good as my No7 ones. Mini Boots 3 For 2 Haul

A few of you have been commenting on my giveaway saying that you like seeing hauls. I don't really 'do' many hauls because quite frankly, I'm a skint student. But I would rather spend my money on a lipstick and not eat for a week. So a last week I did do a little haul in Boots as I needed a new concealer so I did end up taking advantage of their current 3 for 2 across all make up offer.

I was so excited when I found out that Maybelline's Fit Me Foundation was coming across the pond to us. It sounds amazing and I just love the packaging so when I saw it in stock, I picked it up. Choosing my shade was very easy and I didn't even swatch it on my skin as I trusted the diagrams that were surrounding the foundation. I have the colour 125 which is a pale colour for those with pink undertones. I've really been enjoying using this and I think it provides a decent amount of coverage (medium), lasts a long time on the skin (with a primer) and like I said earlier, the packaging makes it seem more high end. I then noticed the 17 Blow Out Mascara in Blackest Black and I knew I had to have it. It's not secret that I'm a 17 make up fan and the packaging of this mascara really screamed out to me. It's very bright and in your face and it promises to volumise your lashes. I wasn't expecting that much from it to be honest as the packaging (although amazing) is a little tacky but I really like this. I think it's easy to build up coats without clumping the lashes. It also lengthens them significantly as well. And finally, I picked up another Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer. I now have this concealer in every available colour just in case I apply fake tan or in case I don't. This is my favourite concealer as it provides incredible, full coverage and also lasts throughout the day.

FOTN: Pumped Up Kicks

On Wednesday night I went out and I really liked my make up so I thought I'd show you what I did. I've done this Face of the Night different to what I'd usually do. This is because I haven't just listed the products I've sort of explained where/how I used them and why. So if you like this, let me know! 

SKIN: When I'm going out I do use a lot of products on my skin because I don't like the way it looks. I do have scarring and I do sometimes have active breakouts. Luckily, my skin has improved a lot recently but I still love having flaw-free skin when I go out. I start off by priming my skin and for this look I used the L'Oréal Paris Studio Secrets Smoothing Resurfacing Primer - £14.29 which I've been loving so much recently. I then went on to use my Skin 79 Super BB Cream - £16.00 as an extra layer of 'foundation' really helps to give a flawless look. For foundation I used my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation - £27.50 as it's one of my favourites and one that I'll always have in my collection. It provides full coverage and it doesn't budge once it's dried onto the skin. For concealer I used my No7 Trio Concealer - £9.50. I'll be doing a review of this product soon but basically I used the pink toned concealer under my eyes and the yellow toned concealer on any redness. I then concealed my scars and blemishes with Collection 2000's Lasting Perfection concealer - £4.19. After this, I powdered my skin with 17's Miracle Matte Pressed Powder - £3.99 and contoured my cheekbones, forehead and nose with Liz Earle's Natural Glow Bronzer* - £19.50. For blusher I used Nars Deepthroat - £21.00 and as it's really glowy I didn't use a highlighter.

EYES: I primed my eyes using Urban Decay's Primer Potion - £14.50 and then used Maybelline's Color 24 HR Tattoo in On and On Bronze - £4.99 as a base to intensify the shadow. I then used Urban Decay's Smog over my lid and Urban Decay's Hustle in the crease. After this I used Urban Decay's Blackout lightly on the outer corners of my eyes to make the eyes a bit darker and smokier. For a highlight I used Urban Decay's Sin. All of these can be found in the Urban Decay Naked palette - £36.00 except for Blackout which is in the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette - £36.00. For eyeliner I used Collection 2000's Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner - £2.99 which is my favourite at the moment as it's so easy to use and nicely pigmented. I then used Lancome's Hypnose Drama Mascara - £20.50 on my lashes which is amazing! I need to buy the full sized version of this as I only have a sample. For my eyebrows I lightly used Liz Earle's Eyebrow Pencil in 02* and then made them stronger with my HD Brow Palette* - £19.96. To set my brows I used the my Collection 2000 Clear Mascara - £2.99.

LIPS: I didn't use a lot on my lips but I did scrub them with Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub - £5.25 and I used my EOS Lemon Drop SPF 15 Lip Balm* - £4.95 to make sure they were soft. I then used No7's Lipstick in Starshell - £9.00 which is a lovely nude colour as my eyes were quite intense.

TAG: How Much Is My Face Worth? (Everyday Make Up)

I've done one of these before but I've seen them making the rounds in the blogosphere more recently and considering my everyday make up routine has changed a lot, I thought I'd show you it. Also, I'm pretty curious to find out how much my face is worth as it's definitely interesting.

Avene Eau Thermale Spring Water Spray* - £6.50
I use this to set my make up and also to refresh it throughout the day.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24Hr Foundation - £27.00
I've rediscovered this and I use it as my foundation as it lasts all day and looks flawless.
Superfacialist By Una Brennan Tea Flower Anti-Shine Pore Minimiser* - £12.99
I use this as my primer as it helps eliminate shine and minimise pores.

Collection 2000 Coloured Mascara Clear - £2.99
I use this on my eyebrows to keep them in place all day.

No7 Exceptional Definition Mascara - £12.50
This is obviously my mascara and I love it as you can build up the volume.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer - £5.99
This is the concealer that I use underneath my eyes as it makes them look more awake.

Keromask Camouflage Cream* - £14.99
I use this as concealer on my face because it covers everything - even my scarring.

MAC Lipstick in Please Me - £14.00
This lipstick is beautiful and very easy to wear in the daytime. It's a matte pink.

Liz Earle Natural Glow Bronzer* - £19.50
I use this to contour my nose and cheekbones and also to add a nice glow to the skin.

HD Brow Palette* - £19.96
My brows are very sparse so I use this to fill them in.

17 Miracle Matte Pressed Powder - £3.99
I use this to powder my skin. I love it because it holds the make up in place and keeps it shine free.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24HR by Eyestudio in Eternal Gold - £4.99
I sweep this all across the lids and underneath the eyes. It's so beautiful and makes the eyes pop.

MAC Sheertone Blush in Pink Swoon - £17.50
Because this is a matte blush it's great for daytime wear and makes me look more glowing.

Collection 2000 Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner in Black - £2.99
I use this as my eyeliner on my upper lash line as it's so easy to use and perfect for winging eyeliner out.

No7 Metallic Eyes Pencil in Black - £7.75
I use this on my waterline and tightline as it's very pigmented and lasts all day.
= £173.64 which when you divide by 30 days equals to around £5.80 a day. That isn't too bad. Especially because a lot of the products do last a lot longer than 30 days. I've used the HD Brow palette pretty much everyday since I received it a year ago and I still haven't hit pan on it. If you've done one of these, feel free to link it below as I love seeing them! HAUL: 17 Make Up Products, Swatches & a Make Up Look

On Saturday I had a lovely day off and decided to do a little bit of shopping. I knew I wanted some new drugstore make up products but I wasn't quite sure what. So I popped into my local Boots and had a look round. As always, the 17 counter caught my eye - mainly because I had a voucher for 100 extra points when you buy a 17 product and also because there was a freebie if you spent £5.99 on their products.

I picked up the 17 Miracle Matte Pressed Powder - £3.99. I already have the matte version in loose powder form and the normal version in pressed powder form and I love them so much. They're cheap but work really well and look more expensive than they are. I decided to get the pressed powder one because the loose powder can be a little bit messy, especially when travelling. Plus, I've bought a new bag (which I'll be doing a full post on soon) and I wanted to keep this in my bag at all times for touch ups throughout the day. The 17 Lasting Fix Nail Polishes - £2.99 also caught my eye as currently they're on offer for 2 for £4 which is so cheap. I find that the consistency of these polishes can sometimes be a bit of a hit or miss but I adore the colours. I bought Glisten which is a gorgeous shimmery gold/pink colour and Fairy Cake which is a beautiful baby, pastel pink. I haven't tried them out yet but I'm sure there'll be swatches soon. So onto the free gift...

The free gift did catch my eye but I didn't think it was going to be anything special. It's called 'get bronzed, it's glow time' and seeing as it's summer, it focuses on nude/bronzey colours. It's unreal how much I've fell in love with this. The cream blush is limited edition but I love it! At first, I didn't get on with it but a few YouTube videos later and I'm now finding myself wearing it daily. It's cream on the cheeks as it adds extra coverage so it doesn't highlight my scarring and the colour is beautiful and natural. The lipgloss and eyeshadow are truly amazing. The lipgloss is now housed in my bag and I use it throughout the day as it's the most beautiful nude colour that works wonderfully with my skin tone. And as for the eyeshadow - wow. I need to do an EOTD with this beauty. It really wakens the eye area up and it's so easy to blend and work with. I think both the lipgloss and eyeshadow are part of the permanent lines so if you're into your nudes, go and pick them up!

It's no secret that I love 17 as a brand. I think they're very fashion forward and some of their products are such great quality and absolute gems for an amazing price.

ROUTINE: Quick & easy 2 minute flawless make up

For most of the summer, I've been working every day from 8-4:30 at my dad's work to earn a bit of extra money for university next year. Considering my dad works in Nottingham and we live in Mansfield, I have to wake up every morning at 6am. Now, at 6am the last thing I want to do is apply a full face of make up that takes ages to do so by trial and error, I've found a few 'wonder' products that literally take me a couple of minutes to apply.

Collection 2000 Coloured Mascara in Clear
This is what I use to set my brows with and I've mentioned it on my blog many times. It's cheap and it does a great job at not only holding my brows in place but also brushing through them.

Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint
This is a tinted moisturiser and it's the only tinted moisturiser that I own and probably will ever own. I don't have perfect skin and I need quite a lot of coverage so tinted moisturisers normally aren't for me. But this one is lovely. It's not sheer coverage - more like light coverage that can be built up where you need it. It's also quick and easy to apply and blends like a dream. I also love this because it's the only 'foundation' that's light enough for my skin at the moment and I haven't been fake tanning.

No7 Shine Free Make-Up Base
Because the foundation that I use is a tinted moisturiser, it's not that great at keeping shine at bay on my combination skin throughout the day so I do have to use a shine controlling primer. This one by No7 is really nice to use. It's sometimes hard to apply as instead of blending over the skin, it sort of drags in a way but it does control shine throughout the whole day.

Skin79 Super Plus Triple Function (Hot Pink) BB Cream
I love everything about this BB cream! I use this underneath the Liz Earle Skin Tint to provide me with extra coverage and it does just that. In a morning, I don't have time to apply sun protection but this one comes with 25++ SPF in it already. The coverage of this is fantastic - so fantastic that it's on par with foundation. It also lasts throughout the day and well, I just love everything about this. I did a full review of this product with before/after comparison photos here.

No7 Quick Cover Blemish Stick
As the name suggests, this covers imperfections quickly and easily. It's easy to blend and provides full coverage where you need it. I don't use it every day, just when I need a bit more coverage if I breakout.

Natural Collection Corrector Stick
If you have scarring then I highly recommend buying a green toned concealer stick to counteract redness. This one is £1.99 and it's really great. I use it after primer but before my BB cream/foundation and it really helps to cover up my scars.

17 Shine Control Loose Powder
My favourite powder. It controls shine, it's easy to use and it's really cheap.

HD Brow Palette
And finally, I have to fill in my brows using this palette. I never use anything else on my brows because this is just fabulous!
