Drugstore summer make up saviours for oily skin

Summer and oily skin. A combination that doesn't work well together. As soon as there's a tiny hint of summer in the UK, my face ends up melting midday. In the winter, my skins leans more towards the dry/combination side of the spectrum, but as soon as a bit of sun peeks out of the clouds, my skin turns into an oil slick. It becomes a shiny mess midday and make up doesn't last throughout the day. Overtime, I've found a combination of drugstore products to help combat the shine, and keep make up in place all day long. Almost no touch ups required.

I start off with the NYX Shine Killer* - £12.50 which is without a doubt one of my favourite primers. I do believe it's silicone-based (if it isn't, it feels that way) and although not everyone gets on with these kind of primers, they're personally my favourite. It smooths over the skin and leaves in mattified and prepped for foundation. For my cheeks I love using the Bourjois Cream Blush in Healthy Glow* - £7.99. A couple of years ago, I would never have used a cream blush but this cream to powder finish is incredible. It's a beautiful, natural colour that stays put on the skin throughout the day. I then finish off the entire look with the SEVENTEEN Stay Time Pressed Powder - £4.49, a recent release that's a godsend. This pressed powder sets make up and ensures it doesn't budge throughout the day. It also takes away any shine without leaving the skin looking completely dead-matte. Dare I say it's better than Rimmel's Stay Matte?

The high street foundation face-off #2




My "foundation face-offs" are without a doubt my favourite posts to write. Having bad skin means that I adore foundation and if I could only purchase one make up item for the rest of my life, it would be foundation. I'm constantly on the lookout for the "perfect one" which means that often, I find myself perusing make up counters trying to source out a new love. SEVENTEEN On the Spot Foundation - £6.99
Coverage: Medium to full coverage that can be built up. This foundation works best when it's applied in light layers.
Longevity: It's not bad. Standard wear.
Finish: It's quite masking and doesn't let your natural skin shine through.
Formula: Lightweight and easy to blend.
Overall: I like this foundation. I don't use it much but it's one that I can always trust to "work" on my skin.
Would I recommend it? Yes.

Coverage: Light to medium. It can be built up but it only really covers redness.
Longevity: I've not had any issues with it breaking down throughout the day when a primer and powder has been used.
Finish: A lovely natural finish that's perfect for summer.
Formula: Really easy to blend and almost melts into the skin.
Overall: When I'm having a good skin day, this foundation is lovely. It looks natural on the skin and lasts well.
Would I recommend it? Yes.

Coverage: Full coverage but not in a nice way. It cakes.
Longevity: As I mentioned above, this foundation cakes and breaks down throughout the day. 
Finish: Full on matte. Almost too matte as it clings to any dry patches.
Formula: It's a shame that I don't like this formula because the coverage is wonderful and it feels lightweight on the skin. But it's drying.
Overall: Aside from the coverage, I can't find one good trait in this foundation. It might be wonderful for those with incredibly oily skin though.
Would I recommend it? Not for combination/dry skin.

Coverage: Medium. It doesn't feel extremely lightweight on the skin but it's barely noticeable.
Longevity: With a primer and powder it lasts throughout the day nicely.
Finish: The finish is beautiful. It doesn't cake at all and looks natural.
Formula: I find this a complete doddle to blend. It's seamless.
Overall: I sort of forgot about this foundation when I discovered MaxFactor's FaceFinity but it truly is wonderful and definitely worth checking out.
Would I recommend it? Definitely. When I was using this foundation, I didn't have one breakout. Might not be a coincidence! 

Coverage: Full. It's on par with Estee Lauder's Double Wear however it can't be built up without looking cakey. Although one layer is all you'd need.
Longevity: Lasts all day incredibly well. It still looks as flawless in the evening as it does when it's first applied.
Finish: In the middle of dewy and matte. It's not dead matte but it doesn't leave the skin looking dewy either.
Formula: I originally thought it'd be a nightmare to apply but I find it very easy to blend and apply.
Overall: 10/10. I can't fault it.
Would I recommend it? Yes, definitely. It's the high street version of Estee Lauder's Double Wear.

Coverage: Full but it can't be built up without looking cakey.
Longevity: Lasts throughout the day. It doesn't budge.
Finish: Very mattifying.
Formula: This foundation is hard to blend and I'm left with streaks.
Overall: It's a shame that this foundation is hard to blend because the coverage for me is perfect.
Would I recommend it? No. It's too hard to blend. It's a nightmare to work with.

Also just a quick warning that I'm now in my final two weeks of my degree (scary!) so sadly, I won't be blogging much because I'm guessing it's going to be hectic. I will try my hardest as I love a good break from work, but I can't guarantee it. Just thought I'd give you a little heads up. Oh and wish me luck, I think I need it!

Save vs. Splurge | Long wearing foundations


Estee Lauder's Double Wear Foundation is a classic and certainly one of the best. It's full coverage at its finest and once it's been applied and buffed into the skin, it isn't budging. It also feels lightweight on the skin. SEVENTEEN'S new offering is extremely similar to Double Wear (except £21 cheaper). Stay Time is a fabulous bargain foundation that, like Double Wear, isn't going anywhere once set on the face. With it being full coverage it also hides a multitude of sins.

Aside from the price, the biggest difference is the packaging. Estee Lauder's version is extremely luxurious - the glass bottle looks beautiful on a dressing table - but it isn't very practical. You have to pour the foundation out which means that you end up with a lot of wasted product. SEVENTEEN's on the other hand isn't the best looking but it's very practical as it comes with a pump.

The only issue with both of these foundations is that they come with SPF inside of them. Useful in the summer but a nightmare for flash photography. I personally haven't had any issues with the dreaded "white-cast-face" but it's something to take note of. Another problem is how fast you have to work. As they're long wearing, they set quickly on the skin so it's better to apply section by section.

If you're after a long wearing foundation and you are on a budget then SEVENTEEN's Stay Time is definitly worth picking up. It's basically Double Wear in more practical packaging. However, if you love luxury and a good ol' classic, Estee Lauder's offering is most definitely for you. You can buy Estee Lauder's Double Wear here where it retails for £27.50. HAUL | Beauty and fashion

As many of you will know, I work on Boots and working in Boots comes with a lot of perks - one being double discount. During this years double discount, SEVENTEEN were offering three of their products for £10 which meant that I got the following three products for just £5.50 - an absolute bargain. The SEVENTEEN Stay Time Foundation - £6.49 is pretty much a cheaper version of Estee Lauder's Double Wear. It's full coverage, lasts all day and doesn't dry the skin out. I can't find a fault in this foundation - it's absolutely perfect. The SEVENTEEN On the Spot Foundation - £6.99 is lighter in coverage and leaves the skin looking flawless yet natural. It claims to clear skin in 4 weeks but I don't know how true these claims are. However, anything that doesn't make my skin worse is a bonus for me. I then purchased another SEVENTEEN Stay Time Concealer - £4.49 in a different shade. 

I also bought another tube of the Colgate Max White One Active toothpaste - £3.99 after mine had ran out. I do have braces so I'm not supposed to use whitening products however, my teeth are becoming more and more stained by the day. I will be getting my teeth professionally whitened when my braces come off however for now, I love this toothpaste. It does what it says and while it's not a miracle product, it's a great quick fix for now.

Since coming back to university, my skin has been an absolute mess. I decided to pop along to Boots (after researching a couple of products) and pick up the Clearasil Ultra Blemish + Marks Wash and Mask - £5.79 and the La Roche-Posay Effaclar A.I. Targeted Breakout Corrector - £9.50. The Clearasil face wash is absolutely wonderful. Despite telling myself I'd never use the brand again, (when I was younger, it bleached my eyebrows) when you're in need and your skin doesn't seem to behave, Clearasil is incredible. The product can be used as a face wash or a quick face mask and instantly, blemishes appear reduced. It's creamy and a dream to use. The La Roche-Posay Effaclar A.I is my day-to-day spot treatment. I now have a prescription spot treatment to use at night but I love using this one during the day time because it's light and does the job. It works very well with my Effaclar Duo and it doesn't dry the skin out.

I bought the VICHY DERMABLEND Corrective Foundation - £15.50 absolutely ages ago when I thought that my other bottle was running low. However two months later, my original bottle is still going strong (you only need a tiny amount of this foundation) and this one is waiting to be opened. It's my all time favourite foundation and you can find my review and see how well it covers here. I bought the Cute or What Penny the Owl Coin Purse - £5.00 when I was buying my Christmas presents. I had one free item left with my 3 for 2's and decided to treat myself to this beautiful purse. As I'm a student, I go out quite a lot and I don't want to be dragging along my big purse so I pop my money and cards into this one as it's smaller. When I originally wrote this post, I raved about I Heart New York. Since then, I've read six other books in the series and I'm now ready to read I Heart London by Lindsey Kelk - £3.85. I adore these books - they're humorous, easy to read and the chances are, they'll make you cry. 

I bought the Denim Skater Skirt - £5.00 and Coral Sketchy Cat T-Shirt - £2.00 quite a while ago - during Freshers Week in fact - in the sale. I absolutely adore the denim skirt as it's one of those things that goes with anything and can be worn during the day or at night. The same goes for the Black Embossed Skater Skirt - £14.99. I can wear it no matter what the occasion. It's very well made and despite the fact I've got many black skater skirts, this one is my favourite. I've been wearing the Varied Stripe Jumper - £7.49 so much recently. It goes with everything and can be worn with jeans or thrown over the top of a dress to keep me warm and cosy. After buying the cat crop top, my love for crop tops continued to grow so I bought the LOU LOU White and Pink Crop Tee - £10.00 in a couple of sizes too big - I loved the oversized crop top look - and it's really pretty for night time. And finally, the photo of the LOVE Hot Pink Wrap Playsuit - £10.00 doesn't do it justice but it's a wonderful "out of my comfort zone" piece of clothing that I desperately can't wait to wear.

MAKE UP | The five product face




If you'd have asked me two years ago what make up I slap on my face before heading out to university, I'd have listed a whole host of products. Gone are the days where I'd wake up two hours before my lesson and carefully prep and prime myself. These days, I wake up with just enough time to get ready and now, I've perfected my "five product face."

Foundation
Foundation is a definite must-have for me. I have extremely bad skin and I can't go anywhere without my base products. If I'm strapped for time, out comes the SEVENTEEN Stay Time Foundation - £6.49. I bought this recently and I'm really loving it so far. It stays put without a primer and provides full coverage that still looks flawless at the end of the day. It does have a tendency to cling to dry patches but a good moisturiser eliminates this problem.

Eyebrows
Earlier this year, I got my eyebrows waxed back home and the woman over plucked them and left my eyebrows non-existent. My brows aren't the fullest of the bunch anyway so nowadays, I pretty much have to draw them on fully. For my eyebrows I use the Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Faint - £20.00 from the Naked Basics palette. The colour is perfect for me and the formula works wonders on the eyebrows.

Blush
As someone who used to hate cream blush, I've certainly found a soft spot for it these days. The Bourjois Cream Blush in Healthy Glow* - £7.99 stippled into my skin using the Real Techniques Stippling Brush is my favourite blush combo. The stippling motion doesn't wipe away from foundation meaning that my scars remain covered up. Like the blush name suggests, it leaves the skin looking healthy and glowing - and it's quick and easy to use.

Powder
To set my base products, I use the CARGO Cosmetics HD Picture Perfect Translucent Powder* - £21.00. I didn't used to like powder much - I never understood its purpose - however this one has completely changed my mind. It creates a soft focus on the skin and balances out oil and dryness perfectly. It leaves my skin looking flawless, shine-free and healthy. Despite the fact that it's a loose powder, it's also very easy to use because of the packaging.

Mascara
And finally, a make up look wouldn't be complete without mascara. I find myself looking bald and "undone" without it and my favourite is the Rimmel Scandaleyes Lycra Flex Mascara* - £6.99. It separates lashes, volumises them and lengthens them in one easy step. The formula doesn't weigh the lashes down and it stays in place throughout the day. For £6.99, it's the best mascara I've tried and I most definitely couldn't be without it.

Boots offers of the week





Christmas is well and truly round the corner and after a few weeks of wonderful Boots Star Gifts, I was even more excited about this week's offering. If you know me well then you'll know that SEVENTEEN is my favourite drugstore brand, Britney Spears is my favourite person in the world and Taylor Swift makes my favourite fragrances. So for these reasons alone, I'm extremely excited about this week.

MAKE UP | SEVENTEEN Lip Crayon in Bold

























If there's one product that I'm addicted to, it's lip crayons. They're everything I've ever wanted in a lipstick and more. They're nicely pigmented, glossy, non-sticky, easy to use and they moisturise and glide over the lips. SEVENTEEN is a brand that I've experimented a lot with over the years and although it's cheap as chips, the quality of their products is outstanding and they definitely don't reflect the price.

So when I heard that SEVENTEEN were bringing out their very own versions of my newest craze, I had to get my hands on them. Armed with my double discount and Boots "buy one get one half price offer" I decided on the colour "Bold." Bold is essentially an orange coral colour that is totally wearable and as you can see from the lip swatch, it perfect for everyday use. The SEVENTEEN Lip Crayons aren't the most pigmented lip products in the world but the formula is so beautiful, it's hard not to love them.

As mentioned earlier, these glide over the lips creating a beautiful glossy look that lasts for a good two hours before having to reapply. I'm definitely gutted that I only bought one shade as these are only going to set you back £4.99 per lip crayon. So far there are only five colours in the collection and I'd definitely love to see SEVENTEEN expand this as the formula of these lip crayons is good enough to rival the more expensive competitors.

SEVENTEEN's Stay Time VS Collection 2000's Lasting Perfection

Concealer is one of those products that I don't believe you have to spend a lot of money on. There are so many good ones on the high street that it'd be silly to go more high end. One of my all time favourite concealers is Collection 2000's Lasting Perfection. I've been using it for years and I've stayed true to it for so long - I even have it in all four shades it's available in - well, you never know do you? So when I heard about SEVENTEEN's Stay Time concealer, I knew I had to do a comparison post on the two as they claim to do pretty similar things.

SEVENTEEN Stay Time Concealer - £4.49
I bought this on Monday (double discount at work, couldn't say no!) and I'm so glad that I did. I have enough concealers to last me a lifetime and Collection 2000's Lasting Perfection has been a long term favourite of mine now. I didn't know what to expect from this concealer as I hadn't read any reviews on it as it's pretty new but I do adore SEVENTEEN as a brand so I was definitely excited. Although my expectations were mediocre, it has completed exceeded those and I'd go as far as saying it's replaced my beloved Collection 2000 concealer. The coverage on this is as full as full can get and as you can see from the images above, it covered up my nasty scarring much better than Collection 2000's version. It also doesn't budge on the skin once it's been set with powder. I'd say that this is Estee Lauder's Double Wear with more coverage in concealer form. It stays on the skin all day long until you want to remove it. Consistency wise I do like this as it's very creamy and easy to blend. It doesn't settle into any pores but you do have to work quite quickly as it settles fast.

I used to think that the coverage of this was as full as full could get but after using SEVENTEEN's version, I'd say this is pretty medium-full as I'm definitely left with some redness peaking through after using. The consistency is basically the same as SEVENTEEN's concealer as it's creamy and easy to blend but I'd say you get a bit more working time with this before it sets. It's also very good at lasting on the skin and I've never noticed any nasty breakdown even though I've been using it for over four years. It is a little bit cheaper than SEVENTEEN's concealer although not by much and it does have an extra "Deep" shade available. 

For me personally, I prefer SEVENTEEN's Stay Time concealer as I do love the extra bit of coverage it gives me over my scarring. My scars are my number one insecurity and the concealer covers them entirely which for me, is a miracle. Both the Collection 2000 and the SEVENTEEN concealers are pretty similar so it's good to have an alternative when the other isn't available - I know I've had trouble tracking down an instock Lasting Perfection over the years.

And we can't stop
























I went out the other night and as always, posted my eye make up on Instagram. I liked the finish result quite a lot and as it's pretty simple, I decided I would write a blog post sharing it with you all. If you have the Urban Decay Naked palette then this look is something you'll be able to recreate easily.

As I've just mentioned, all of the eyeshadows I used were from the Urban Decay Naked palette which I've fallen back in love with all over again. Since the release of its sisters, I've been toying and flitting between them and the original Naked palette has been feeling a little unloved because of it. However, I'm now glad to say it's back to being my number one trusty palette. I used the colour Toasted all over the lid and popped a little bit of Hustle into the crease to define it and add depth. After this, I used Half Baked underneath my lash line which is something that I do pretty much every day. And finally, I used Sin as a highlight. If you're after a highlighting eyeshadow then Sin is one that you definitely need as it's the most perfect champagne colour, ever. To line my eyes I used my beloved Collection 2000 Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner - it's incredibly easy to use and it's literally like drawing on your eye lids with a felt tip pen. The liner also lasts all day long despite perspiration and oilyness - it's like a dream. I then used KIKO's Vivid Eyes Kajal and Eyeliner* in 03 on my waterline as like the Collection 2000 liner, this stays put. It's also very pigmented. Unfortunately, I added this after I'd taken these pictures so it can't be seen on them. On my lashes I used my favourite combination of Lancome's Hypnose Drama, SEVENTEEN's Doll'd Up, Barry M's Lash Vegas* and Maybelline's Great Lash. All of these combine together to create length, volume, drama and separation all without the need for falsies.

May Favourites




Shock horror! I'm actually doing a monthly favourites this month. Monthly favourites are some of my favourite blog posts to read however, it's rare that I ever do them myself for some strange reason. But this month, I've been loving a few products that I just had to share with you.

To me this nail polish is summer in a bottle. Formula wise, it's not the greatest. It takes at least three coats to look opaque and it can sometimes apply streaky but I swear to god, it's worth it. It's the most beautiful orange red colour with gold shimmer running through it. It's also very shiny and you can see a swatch of this polish on my Instagram here. Gorgeous, right?

Until now, I used to use the cheapest clear nail polish I could find as a base/top coat however, I found this in the Boots Clearance section and I haven't looked back since. My nails are stronger and it's rare that they break. Also, my nail polish doesn't stain my nail any more which is great considering my original nails were starting to look like a rainbow.

I adore this foundation. It covers absolutely everything and I wear it almost every day. If you suffer with any kind of blemishes then I highly, highly recommend this as a foundation or even a concealer. It is perfect. It's full coverage, lasts all day and is light on the skin. You also don't need a lot of the product as it's extremely pigmented so it's definitely worth the price tag. You can read my full review (and see before/after comparison images) here.

For me, body hair removal is a chore. Before finding this moisturiser, I had to shave my legs every single day however now, it's around every four days. Moisturising is something else that I think of as a chore but this moisturiser is so light and lovely that it makes the job pleasant and fun - I look forward to it these days. I believe that this will remain a daily staple in my routine for a long, long time.

This is one of those products that once you've tried it, you can't live without it. It does exactly what it claims to do - tans your face and gives you a facial all while you sleep. After using this, I wake up to glowing, healthy skin. It doesn't make you orange, it doesn't apply streaky and you end up looking a little bit more tanned. I think it's wonderful at topping up your fake tan throughout the week. You can read my full review here. 

                                                                    Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette - £20.00
Ever since falling in love with the KIKO Long Lasting Colour Lip Markers (full review here) I've been wearing a more natural eye. And of course, the palette that I turned to for this was the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. When it comes to every day natural matte colours, this palette is perfect. The colours are nicely pigmented and they blend and last well on the lid - I highly, highly recommend. 

                                                                     Fake Bake Legal Sunburn Blush* - £8.00
This blusher has become my everyday go-to blush product. It's beautifully pigmented, soft and blendable and it leaves you with the most gorgeous flush of colour that makes you look glowing. I just can't believe how affordable it is as it's such a great, high quality product. You can see a swatch of this blush and my full review here.

So there you have it - the products I've been loving a lot this month. If I could have done, I'd have included all of the products mentioned in this post as well however, seeing as I only wrote about them the other day, I didn't see the point. I've been loving many products this month and I've discovered some little beauties so hopefully the same will happen in June and I'll be able to continue my monthly favourites throughout the year. What I wore on my eyes

















The other day, I posted an outfit of the night post - which you can find here - and before I went out, I posted  this image on Instagram. It received a few positive comments and a lot of people wanted to know how I did my eye make up so I thought I'd do a blog post about it. I used a few colours from the Sleek Storm palette which I've had in my collection for a while now. I have two of them and I'm selling one in my blog sale if you're interested - shameless plug there. Since the arrival of Naked palettes, many others have taken a back seat so when I went out the other night, I whipped my old love out and was pleasantly surprised. I'm sure most people have owned a Sleek palette in their lifetime but if you haven't, let me tell you this: the quality of the eyeshadows are outstanding. They're pigmented, soft and really easily to blend. They're a pleasure to work with. The Storm palette is definitely my favourite and I purchased it three years ago which set off my love for eyeshadows - I owe it a lot. I wouldn't say it's a definite dupe for the Naked palette but it does come with both shimmery and matte eyeshadows and all of them are different variations of nudes. If you're a make up addict, you can't be without this palette. I used the Seventeen liner as my eyeliner as it's very easy to use and lasts all night and then finished with the Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara which gives me fluttery full lashes.

What I wore on my face


I don't think I've done a "what I wore on my face" post in a really long time. Either that or I've never done one. So on Saturday before heading off out, I decided to photograph the products that I'd used on my face and posted it on Instagram. I received an incredible amount of "likes" so I thought I'd do a little write up about which products I used, how I used them and why I love them.

Face
On my face I started off by using Seventeen's Photo Flawless skin primer. I really like this primer and I've gone through two bottles of it since first trying it. It prolongs my make up a little bit and it really smooths out the skin and preps it for foundation. I then went onto use Vichy's Dermablend foundation* which is one of my all time favourites. It gives perfect coverage, looks invisible and is really easy to blend and use. It also lasts all day long on the skin too which was perfect for me as I was out in the raining photographing a Zombie Run. For concealer, I've been using Rimmel's Wake Me Up underneath my eyes. I used to love this concealer but it got thrown aside a while back so I'm glad to have it back in my life. And of course on blemishes I used the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer which is my all-time favourite. I then powdered the skin with Purminerals Pressed Mineral Make Up.* I love this powder as it's a foundation so it adds extra coverage to the skin whilst mattifying it down and ensuring make up stays put all day long. As I've been fake tanning recently, I used the Liz Earle Natural Glow Bronzer* to warm up my complexion and add a little bit of a glow and then followed using the Nars Deepthroat Blush which really perks the skin up.

Eyes
To fill in and shape my eyebrows, I used the KIKO Eyebrow Expert Styling Kit.* I really love this kit as it comes with two different shades of powder, a wax, some tweezers and a brush. It's a really handy kit and sorts out the mess of a job a beautician did to my eyebrows. For my eyes, I went back to my trusty Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. I used Suspect all over the lid, Snakebite on the outer corner, Tease through the crease, Bootycall as a highlight and Half Baked underneath my lashes. I really like this combination as it looks natural but also emphasises my eyes. Half Baked underneath my lashes is my little trick as it makes my eyes look wider, brighter and finishes the look off perfectly. I then finished off with Seventeen's Liquid Liner close to my lash line for definition and used lashings of both Seventeen's Doll'd Up mascara and Barry M's Lash Vegas mascara* which are two of my favourites. Seventeen's Doll'd Up mascara is great for defining and curling the lashes whilst Barry M's Lash Vegas mascara is perfect for both length and volume. Both of them work wonderfully together to give me full but defined dramatic lashes.

Lips
Finally, on my lips I used MAC's Please Me followed by the Korres Lip Butter* to moisturise and add a little tint and gloss to the lips. Please Me is a matte colour which means that it can sometimes be a little bit drying so pairing the Korres Lip Butter over the top really helps to moisturise the lips. I also adore the combination of the two colours together. Please Me is a muted down dusky pink whereas the Korres Mango Lip Butter is a coral colour. Both of them work together to create the most adorable pink on the lips which I love.

So there we have it. The products that I used on my face on Saturday. These are also the products that I tend to wear on a day to day basis however, I usually switch up my eyeshadow a little bit. I always go for the highlight in the corner, light shade on the lid, darker shade on the outer corner, matte brown through the crease and Half Baked underneath the lashes though for some reason. Reunion outfit of the night and eyes of the night






















For the first time in two years I met up with some of my school friends and we went out into town on Bank Holiday. It was an amazing night and I loved catching up with them. But onto the important bit, my hair, outfit and make up... On my eyes I used Urban Decay's Midnight Cowboy over the lid, Darkhorse in the crease and Stray Dog on the outer corners and underneath the eyes. I then used Seventeen's Tattoo Me Semi Permanent Liquid Liner to create a winged eyeliner. This eyeliner is very easy to use and lasts forever. It lasts so long that it's difficult to remove which is a pain but great for nights out. I used Seventeen's Doll'd Up Mascara which is amazing. A complete bargain and finally I used KIKO's Vivid Eyes Kajal and Eyeliner* on the waterline.

This wasn't an outfit that I really wanted to wear but seeing as I didn't bring any "going out clothes" back home, I had no choice. The outfit was really comfy though. I wanted my hair curled but I didn't take any curlers back home either and my GHD's just weren't curling anything. I looked in my wardrobe and saw the rag rollers that I used and they ended up making my hair look really nice which was a big surprise.
So there you have it! A last minute outfit, a use-what-you-have hair and make up look. What do you think?

HAUL: Boots 3 for 2 Make Up




























If you don't know already then apart from assignments and exams, I've finished my second year at university. So as it's Easter (and I don't have work on Sunday) I've decided to come back home for a few days to catch up with family and friends. Also, you might notice that these pictures have been taken on a different background. This is just because I haven't brought the wallpaper I use at university back home with me. This is the wallpaper that I currently have on my bedroom wall so I thought I'd use it. Do you prefer this? Anyway, when I got home I saw that I had a few vouchers from Boots and when I looked at them, I was pretty excited as one of them enabled you to get SEVENTEEN's latest mascara "Dolld Up" for just £2. Knowing that all make up is currently on 3 for 2 and realising that I was in desperate need of a top up of my favourite concealer and eyeliner, I rushed into Boots to pick a few things up. So as you guessed, the first thing I got was the SEVENTEEN Doll'd Up Mascara which retails for £6.29. This comes with a plastic brush and it aims to curl and volumise your lashes without clumping them. I'm yet to try this out but once I have done, I will report back to you. I also bought another tube of my favourite concealer, Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer. I'm sure that you've all heard about this before but it really is wonderful. It provides last lasting flawless coverage and it doesn't break the bank either. I then went to look for SEVENTEEN's Liquid Liner and found that they'd discontinued it so instead, I bought the SEVENTEEN Semi Permanent Liquid Eyeliner Tattoo Me. The brush is a little bit smaller than I'd have liked but like the mascara, I'll let you know what I think about it after I've used it. This mini haul should've come to £15.47 but with my staff discount, the 3 for 2 and my voucher is came to just £5.42 - bargain considering the mascara retails for more than that price alone.
