If there is one lip product you all know I love, it's lip crayons. For me, they've completely changed the way I wear lipstick. They apply beautifully by gliding onto the lips and providing the most gorgeous satin finish that's easy to wear and pretty long lasting too. So when Models Own's very own version popped through my door, it's safe to say I was extremely excited and let out a little squeak. Although Model's Own is my favourite nail polish brand, I've actually never tried any of their other make up so I couldn't wait to dive further into the brand.
The Models Own Lip-Stix* allow you to line, define and colour your lips all in one swipe to create a precision pout quickly and easily. I've found these Lip-Stix's to be nourishing and they leave such a lovely intense satin colour on the lips. The Lip-Stix is available in ten different shades including Very Berry* and Ravishing Red* which are the colours I have my hands on. Ravishing Red - as you can tell from the swatch above - is the most perfect red colour ever and I can't seem to get it off my lips. I absolutely adore wearing it as I feel like it suits my skin tone perfectly. It's lovely to apply and is pretty easy to wear despite being a red. It's one of those shades that everyone needs in their collection. It's not too blue toned or too orange toned - it's smack bang in the middle and as a colour, it's perfect. Very Berry on the other hand is one that I can't seem to get on with. I'm pretty pale and I don't think I can pull off deep shades very well - especially not berry colours. The Lip-Stix quality is still as good as Ravishing Red though but unfortunately, the colour seems to hate my complexion. However, I can see it coming in handy for Halloween!
These Lip-Stix's are available online here where they retail for £5 each. I think they're the cheapest ones I've laid my eyes on which for my lip crayon addiction is wonderful. They will also be available in Boot stores nationwide from 7th August. I definitely need to get my hands on Coral Kiss and Beauty Blush when they're released in Boots stores. Less than a month to go!
