HAIR | ghd Straight & Tame Cream

It was love at first use with this product. Despite being addicted to their straighteners, I'd never tried any products by ghd before so this both intrigued me and scared me. Would it heighten my love for the brand? Or lower it? But luckily, using the Straight & Tame Cream* - £14.95 only made me want to explore ghd's hair care products further.

Aimed at those with thick, curly and rebellious hair, this cream helps to calm, smooth, straighten and protect the hair. I don't have thick, curly or frizzy hair but I do have hair that doesn't hold style with a natural kink/wave. I worked a couple of pumps through my damp hair and then used a barrelled brush to blow-dry my hair. My locks were poker straight afterwards and there wasn't one sign of frizz. I didn't need to then go on and use my straighteners (a step which although I love, can end up being time consuming and of course, damaging) and my hair remained straight for the rest of the day. The cream is light and non-sticky, it didn't weigh my hair down and it didn't leave behind any nasty residue. I didn't need to use heat protection either as it's included inside the cream - lovely.

As soon as I used this I thought to myself: "my mum would love this!" And although I know she's going to be reading this - hi mum! - I'm going to be buying her it for her birthday. She has thick, frizzy hair and seeing as this works wonders on my hair (which is opposite to hers), I know it'll be a dream on hers.

Have you tried any of ghd's hair care products before?
