Try Manuka Doctor's hero products FREE

We all love a good freebie, don't we? When it comes to skin care in particular, in can be hard splashing our cash without trying a product first. We don't know if it's going to work in harmony with our skin, and we certainly don't know if the claims are a little bit OTT. So when free sample packs are offered by brands, I get all excited.

The Manuka Doctor Mini Hero Kit* is a good 'un. Containing a 7ml sachet of the ApiNourish Rejuvenating Face Mask, a 5ml sachet of the ApiClear Skin Treatment Serum and a 3ml sachet of the ApiRefine Targeted Wrinkle Filler, this little kit allows you to get a feel of the products before deciding whether or not they're for you. If the products take your fancy, there's also a 25% off your next order voucher.

The kit itself retails for £12.99 usually, however you can order it now and pay just £2.50 for P&P - an absolute bargain. I've actually tried the Skin Treatment Serum before (cue old and embarrassing review here) and I absolutely loved it; it worked wonders on my scarring and skin tone in general. I can't wait to try it again and see if I can rekindle my love for it (and also experience a few other goodies too).

You can order your free kit here. Have you tried anything from Manuka Doctor before?

SKINCARE ROUTINE: Serums

I'm a huge fan of serums and I use two daily to help regenerate my skin and lighten my acne spots and pigmentation.
I'm not going to lie, when I first received this I saw the bee venom and I was petrified. I've never been stung by a bee so I was worried that I might react or I pretty much might die. But I'm still here and I love this serum. I use this at night time and what it does it lightly sting your skin (but there's barely any feeling, it just feels tingly) which brings your blood to the skin and therefore regenerates it and helps to remove scarring. It's very light and has a refreshing smell and it sits lovely underneath my moisturiser.
I use this during the day time and as the name suggests, it's very light and unscented which makes it perfect for those with sensitive skin. I apply it on the areas that I need it (cheeks and chin) and it sinks in lovely and doesn't react with my make up in any way throughout the day. When using this, it's also recommended that you use an SPF so that the sun doesn't affect pigmentation any more.
Since using both of these together I've definitely noticed a reduction in my scarring and the general appearance of my skin. I can't recommend them enough for those of you who suffer with pigmentation.
