Goodbye Google Reader

In case you haven't heard, Google Reader is shutting down. I'm pretty sad about this. I got my first follower on Google Reader and I've built up a big and loyal following that way. Although there's been no mention of it yet, I'm guessing Google Friend Connect will soon be gone. If you're a user of Google Reader, I'd highly recommend importing your "following list" onto BlogLovin'. You can do this here and find out how to here. I've already done so, I can't deal with missing posts by my favourite blogs! You can follow my blog via BlogLovinHelloCotton and She Said Beauty.
So yeah, just a quick heads up for you all and thank you for staying loyal via Google Reader.

REVIEW: KIKO for Eyes

L-R Vivid Eyes Kajal and Eyeliner in Black and Festive Indigo, (wet and then dry) Pigment Loose Eyeshadow in Joyful Teal and Sunny Coral

You might remember my KIKO introduction post from a while ago. Well, in case you missed it, since then I've published a post about their KIKO Long Lasting Lipsticks and now, I'm going to be talking about some of their eye products. First up is the Vivid Eyes Kajal and Eyeliner in Festive Indigo and Black* £7.90. I love this product. I haven't used any other pencil eyeliner since receiving this. As you can see from the swatches above the black is very intense and it lasts a long time on waterline and stays intense. They pencil is the perfect texture - creamy enough to not drag on the eyelids but hard enough to stay put on the skin. It's also great for smudging and creating a smoky eye. I haven't used the blue yet purely because I'm scared to. I don't do well with colour on my eyes at all but this end of the pencil is also perfect in formula and pigmentation. I highly recommend this product if you're an eyeliner addict like I am. Secondly is the Pigment Loose Eyeshadow in Sunny Coral* and Joyful Teal* £5.90 each. These pigments come in six different shades (in the "Colours in the world collection") and they're made from pure pigments. They're easy to blend and when wet, easy to work with. They're extremely pigmented (when used wet as you can see in the swatches above) and can be used to create a fine line or a very dramatic make up look. You can blend them together and mix them with other colours to create something unique and personal every time you use them. The colours are extreme for me but the other night it was fairy fancy dress night and I enjoyed using these colours on my friends. They lasted throughout the entire night and were still vibrant when we returned home. If you love colour then these are perfect for you. The price is also extremely reasonable as these will last you years.
Have you tried anything from KIKO? Do any of the above products appeal to you?

NEWS: Monster unveils the “Crown Jewel” of headphones at Harrods

I'm not normally one to post about new and exciting things - especially when they're headphones. But as soon as my eyes locked onto these beauties, I knew I had to share them with you. Yesterday at Harrods, the world leader in high-performance and high-style headphones, Monster, unveiled their "crown jewels." The one-of-a-kind Diamond Tears Sally Sohn Edition Headphone have been created by Monster and the world-renowned Korean artist and jewellery designer, Sally Sohn. Made from 18k gold and encrusted with black diamonds totalling 5.56 carats, over 100 hours of hand-craftsmanship has gone into the creation of the headphone. Like all Monster headphones, this one doesn't lack sound clarity and delivery as they've been specially tuned by Head Monster, Noel Lee who is the audio engineer behind the sound of Beats by Dr.Dre® headphones (which I own and love)! Head Monster Noel Lee noted: “Both our new Diamond Tears and Monster DNA headphones represent Monster’s leadership in providing ‘what’s next’ in personal audio, both a style standpoint and in terms of their unprecedented sound quality and features. The creation of the Diamond Tears Sally Sohn Edition was truly a labour of love for us, and being able to work with such a talented, ahead-of-the-curve designer as Sally to craft such a special, museum-quality work of art was really the icing on the cake. We’re looking forward to bringing Harrods customers and all of our fans around the world even more exciting innovations in the months and years to come!”
They sound incredible right? Well unfortunately, these headphones cost £20k to buy so they're not for all of us but they're still stunning to look at. When I received this press release my heart died a little bit - I thought there was a spider on my screen.
What do you think about these headphones? Have you tried any Monster headphones before?

REVIEW: Imperial Leather Japanese Spa Nourishing Shower Cream

If you didn't already know, I'm currently running a giveaway (which you can view here). The prize for my giveaway is a full set of the newly reformulated Imperial Leather Shower Gels. And luckily, I've been sent one to review for my blog. I mentioned in my giveaway post that the Japanese Spa scent is one of my favourites and the next day I ran down to the post box and discovered, much to my happiness, a Japanese Spa shower gel* sitting there waiting for me. I will copy and paste what I said in my giveaway post to give you a little background information about the new formulations and then I'll give you my verdict:
After over 200 years of experience they have now come up with a newly formulated recipe which gives a more luxurious shower experience. They claim that their lather is now "richer, thicker and twice as creamy."
"When poured onto the skin, the shower gel doesn't run through the fingers or off the skin, meaning it stays thicker for even longer. As the gel is massaged into wet skin it creates a richer, thicker, creamier lather, which consists of millions of luxurious bubbles. Finally, thanks to the added skin conditioners, the skin feels incredibly soft and moisturised, both during and after use."
I've been using this for a few days now and I have to say, it's knocked all of my current shower gels out of the shower. The smell, as always, is amazing. So fresh, creamy and beautiful and the formula is so much better than the original (from what I remember). The shower gel itself is so thick and it creates a creamy lather which means you only need a tiny bit of shower gel each time you use it.
You can enter my giveaway to win five of your own shower gels here. The range is available from all major retailers, with an RRP of £1.89 for 300ml. If you'd like more information then you can visit the Imperial Leather website here.

Do Good & Feel Good with Barry M & Ovacome

Originally, I wasn't going to post today. But when I saw this email arrive in my inbox, I had to. Basically Barry M have teamed up with Ovacome for Ovarian Awareness Month. Ovacome is an ovarian cancer support network and Barry M are supporting the "Teal Tips" campaign and donating 50% of all sales of the Watermelon Gelly Nail Paint from the Barry M website throughout March to Ovacome. Personally, I think that this is a great cause. Not only can you help out a wonderful charity but you can also gain a new and beautiful nail polish - everybody is a winner!
