CAMPING: Bodycare

Hey guys! I hope you're all okay? I hope that this post shows up because it's scheduled so I'm a little worried haha. Here is the second part in the Camping Series and this time, it's bodycare!
L-R Natural Collection Mango & Papaya Body Spray, Liz Earle Foot Spritzer, Skin Wisdom Day Spa Gingerlily & Orange Bath Gel, Ministry of Waxing Ice Cream, Avene Sun Lotion SPF 50+ & 20, Nivea Creme.

I haven't included deodorant here yet because at the time of writing this post, I was waiting to fetch some from Tesco! I was undecided on which body spray to take because I have so many but this was the one that had the most product left in. Of course, my Liz Earle Foot Spritzer is a must have.. I take it everywhere with me - it's perfect for cooling the feet and legs and also eliminates odours! This is my new body gel and I'm really excited to try this out as it smells so gorgeous. The Ice Cream and Nivea Creme are there to be used as body lotions and after sun.. they're both cooling and really add moisture to the skin. And of course, sun tan lotion! It's a must have and if I could only take one product away with me, it'd be that!

What are your must have body care products for camping/holidays?

CAMPING: Haircare

Over the next two weeks I'm going camping and I thought it'd be interesting if I showed you the products that I'm taking with me. There'll be four parts to this series (haircare, bodycare, skincare and make up) and I'll schedule the posts over the next two weeks for you. I'll just say now that I'm not a camping person and I've never been camping in my life.. I'm pretty scared for it! Creatures, cold and barely any beauty products is not good for me haha! Also, it may seem like I'm taking a lot with me but honestly, for me this is not a lot at all!
Back Row L-R: TRESemme Dry Shampoo, L'Oreal Kids Tangle Tamer, Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Split End Protection Cream, TRESemme Climate Control Ultimate Hold Hairspray, Avon Advance Techniques Lotus Shield, TRESemme Heat Defence Spray.
Front Row L-R: TRESemme Salon Shine Glossing Spray, TRESemme 24 Hour Body Conditioner & Shampoo, TRESemme 24 Hour Body Sky High Plumping Powder.

Can you tell that I love TRESemme?
I was undecided on my shampoo and conditioner choice because the bottles of the 24 Hour Body shampoo and conditioner I have are 900ml and obviously too big for camping. But I went to the TRESemme event and I was given these tiny bottles so of course, this made up my mind! I've also got the dry shampoo; obviously a must have for camping! But after speaking to Matthew Curtis about my oily hair he told me to stop washing my hair every day.. so I'm using dry shampoo as a supplement. My L'Oreal Kids Tangle Tamer is a must have for my long hair - it gets tangled so easily! As for my Split End Protection Cream, I couldn't leave it.. after 2 weeks the ends of my hair will be awful so this was a must have. Same for my Lotus Shield and TRESemme Heat Defence spray - it's my must have hair product. Regarding the Salon Shine spray and the Sky High Plumping Powder.. I'm trying them out. I've briefly used them after receiving them at the TRESemme event and so far, I'm in love. But I'm giving them a real test at camping! The hairspray I'm taking is also TRESemme and it has quickly become my favourite hairspray.. I'll tell you why when I get back in my full TRESemme post from the event. I've taken a small can obviously to save room.

What are your must have hair products for camping? Do you love any of the ones that I've mentioned?

Current Favourites

I'm so sorry that it's been a while since I've blogged. I don't even have an excuse for you. I guess I just haven't been feeling inspired. But I'm back! I thought I'd do a current favourites post because I always love knowing what people are currently loving and I hope you do too! - I wrote this at the time of writing this post which was last weekend.. However since then, Blogger has been playing up. It's now working fine thank god!
TRESemme Freeze Hold Hairspray

Don't be fooled by the 'freeze hold' part - it doesn't look so prominent in your hair. I spritz a bit of this on before I leave the house and my hair doesn't move for the rest of the day; and like I said before, it's barely noticeable.

Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Split End Protection Cream

I'm still using and loving this. I can't see me ever abandoning this product to be honest. Because I don't get my hair cut, split ends always appear in my hair however this cream seals them and keeps my hair looking healthy - It also helps my hair grow long.

VO5 Volumising Spray
Just like every other Volumising spray this lifts the roots of the hair and adds a nice amount of volume. It’s also has added heat protection and it doesn’t make my hair look or feel greasy.

Urban Fudge Straight Hair Stuff
This is a straightening mist with heat protection. I've really been loving Urban Fudge's products lately; the orange bottles really entice me in and this one doesn't let me down. It protects hair for heat damage up to 230 degrees (perfect for my 200 degrees GHDs) and because of this, my hair looks very healthy. I used to use the TRESemme heat protection but of course, I like to experiment. I do love them both as they both do an incredible job but I find myself reaching for this more before of the bottle colour. It leaves hair smooth, protected and smelling gorgeous!
Dirty Works Soak It Up Body Moisture Spray
I've always stayed clear of body oils as such mainly because my skin is combination and my hair gets oily quickly. But with this, I thought I'd give it a try. It smells really beautiful and if you've tried Soap & Glory's Flake Away then this is exactly what it smells like. It absorbs easily and leaves my skin feeling nourished, moisturised and smell beautiful. With it being an oil, it also allows my skin to glow which is why I mainly use it on my legs. There's nothing like glowing skin in the summer. I use this daily after I've bathed and/or before I got out anywhere.
Miss Guided nail polish in Misstique
I mentioned this in my summer series nail polish post that you can view here (it includes a swatch)! I'm still loving it.. the colour and formula is wonderful.

Avon Lotus Shield
Yes I’m still in love with this. It fights everyday wear and tear and doesn’t allow humidity to effect my hair. It leaves hair sleek, soft and in the exact same style that you left the house with. I couldn’t be without this.

Barry M Lipglosses
I adore Barry M lipglosses. They're cheap, tasty, well pigmented and last a while on the lips. I couldn't be without them!
Liz Earle Line Smoothing Serum
I use this under my moisturiser before make up and it does an incredible job at making my face look plumped up, smooth and healthy. It's mainly aimed at mature/dry skin but I don't have any and it still works a treat. My skin is combination and this done a very good job at balancing it out and creating a lovely base for make up.. I find that after using this, make up just glides onto my skin and there is no patchyness. If you have very oily skin then I'd recommend using this as a moisturiser on its own as it really is a perfect base for make up. If you have dry skin, this is a wonderful serum that will give your dry skin a boost and smooth over your dry areas. Or if you're like me with normal/combination skin, this is a perfect base for make up that will balance your skin. It's incredibly versitile and my must have serum.

Good Things Stop That Spot
My skin has been terrible recently and this product has really cleared it up. It's not like every other spot treatment that you've come across.. It smells like fruit! No nasty chemical smell. A gorgeous berry smell that smells divine. It also is moisturising and glides over the skin without stingy any infected areas. I was very surprised when I started using this; it's nothing like a spot treatment gel yet it works just as well!

Soap & Glory The Breakfast Scrub
Smells like oats and well, breakfast and removes dead skin cells leaving beautifully smelling and looking soft skin. If you don't have this, you need it. It's my favourite body scrub. And I can't see that changing!

HAUL!

A few of you have said that you'd like to see more hauls & finally today, I've had one! I went to Nottingham to spend my wages so I thought I'd show you what I bought :)
I had to buy my sister something so I got her this Cars 2 t-shirt for the Build A Bear bear!

All the clothes are from Primark and I apologise for the Wall-E stickers on my wardrobe - I'm such a child haha. I adore this dress soo much! It has foxes on it and a peter pan collar.. the skirt is sort of a skater skirt and it cinches in at the waist. It is reeeaaalllyy short though! So for day I'd wear with leggings/tights but for night, I'd risk it haha.

This top is beautiful and I bought it to wear with anything basically. It's an oversized top with a pocket on the chest area. I need more of these tops in different colours!

Oh this top! I lovelovelovelove it so much! It has cute birds on it and it can be worn fastened or buttoned up - very versatile. I also bought it in the size up so that it's oversized.

These trousers look HUGE! And they don't photograph well either. But they're a dark, dusty pink colour and they're chinos if you can't tell. They're beautiful and my first pair! It's weird for me because I don't tend to wear trousers! But I couldn't resist.

I also got 4 foundation samples (Clinique Anti Redness, Clinique Anti Blemish, Lancome Colour Ideal, MAC Studio Fix). I know I've tried the Anti Blemish before and I know that I hated it but I'm giving it another go :) The Lancome lady also gave me a free sample their Doll Eyes mascara which I'm really excited about trying out. If you go to your nearest Lancome counter with any old mascara, you can trade it in for a sample of this mascara - amazing ey?

I also bought an anklet and a daisy headband but I forgot to photograph them! What do you think? What have you been buying lately? Let me know in the comments :)

SUMMER SERIES: Pt 6 - Nail Polish

I have been waiting to do this post for a while now, however last month, I saw that Cosmopolitan was including a beautiful nail polish in this months issue so I've been waiting for the magazine to be released.. & I'll tell you know, it's gorgeous!

When it comes to summer, I believe that colour should be embraced. And if you're scared to do a flick of blue on your lips or a pop of red on your lips, nail polish is a safe bet for anyone.

L-R NailGirls #3, Barry M Nail Paint #262, NailGirls #10, Barry M Nail Paint #030 (LE), NailGirls #3 Matte.

These nail polishes definitely have my favourite formulas. All of them apply beautifully, are opaque in one coat and last an awfully long time.
L-R Collection 2000 Fast Dry in Fruit Salad, Nails Inc in Brook Street, Collection 2000 Fast Dry in Dynasty, MissGuided in Misstique, BeYu in #112, 17 Lasting Fix in Orange Soda.

These are the nail polishes that don't have very good formulas (minus the MissGuided one). They apply in streaks, blotch easily, don't last long, use a lot of coats.. But for me, it's the colour that matters. And the colours of these nail polishes are beautiful.
L-R Barry M Nail Paint in #030 (LE), NailGirls #3, NailGirls #3 Matte, NailGirls #10, Barry M #262.
L-R Collection 2000 Fast Dry in Fruit Salad, Collection 2000 Fast Dry in Dynasty, 17 Lasting Fix in Orange Soda, Nails Inc in Brook Street, BeYu #112
And then my favourite choice for summer? MissGuided's nail polish in the colour Misstique! This is free with Cosmopolitan this month.. It's absolutely beautiful and I've only had it a few hours. I'm in love. It applies well, it's opaque, it's bright, it's beautiful and best of all, it's free!

So, these are my choices if you're looking for bright summer nails.. What are yours?
