Victoria Jackson Review

I love Victoria Jackson and I received the products for Christmas off my sister which was a lovely gift and shows that she knows me very well :) This was the first time I had tried the products and to be fair, I've never looked back - I wear at least on of them every day :). Now there has been some people claiming that this make up is a scam but honestly, I don't believe it is. Every high end make up brand has to start off somewhere right? I have one a video but the problem is that when I make a video off my webcam it tells me I have to lower the quality which turns the lighting really bad and sometimes it goes black and white (N) .. So I will be posting the video but I will also be writing about the products.

So this is what I received in the kit (it does come in a black bag that says 'Victoria Jackson' on it and it looks very professional. Also, the products come in their own packaging (yet again black) and these add to the professional look:

12 Piece Lip Gloss Collection:

The website claims:

Drench your lips in radiant color and shine with this ultra-moisturizing formula that keeps lips soft and smooth for hours. Enriched with Vitamin E and A, experiment with a variety of long-wearing shades for a range of alluring looks that enhance your lips like never before.

And I do agree. These colours are fabulous and you get a clear gloss, dark red, bubblegum pink, golden colour, bright red, brown, dark brown, bronze, shimmery red, nude, matte plum, iridescent baby pink which all equals to 12 beautiful colours. The formula does seem to be moisturising and when the lips have been primed these stay on longer than most lip glosses. With so many colours to choose from, I can guarantee you will be spoilt for choice! My favourite colour is the bubblegum pink one as it adds a subtle hint of girlyness to my make up, which I do love :)

Also, the packaging. It is sturdy, hard and looks and feels highly professional which when it comes to make up is always a bonus. Now the price on the website I have is $45 (sorry about it being American, I have explained about this below) which is around £28!

You can buy this product here: Now, this is an American website as I couldn't find an English website for these but if you do, please let me know.

Shimmer Powder Brush (Bronze):

The website claims:

Get luminous with luxurious shimmer powder and a silky-soft brush in one!
This innovative brush dispenser is convenient and portable for quick touch-ups on the go. Unique system combines light tinting and shimmering agents to enhance the skin's natural color. Sweep on a shimmering or even a sun-kissed glow, from head to toe, at the shake of a hand. Compliments any skin tone.

This little baby is wonderful. It is portable which is fantastic but you don't even need touch ups as it lasts throughout the day! Also the product looks natural and applies really evenly - I think this is thanks to the lovely, soft brush! You can use this anywhere but I use it after my bronzer, blusher and highlighter just to get a nice subtle glow to wake up my skin. Also, the lady told me sister than once you have this brush there is no need to repurchase as you can refill it with any shimmer etc that you want - perfect. Yet again the website is priced at $32 which over here is worth around £20!

Here is a link to the website:

Colour Collection - Pink:

The website claims:

The Color Collection is a classic, multi-functional, mirrored face palette that offers everything you need to make up the eyes, face and lips. The radiant shades are reflective of the current color trend, but also a great starter combination for the makeup beginner.

In this lovely compact you get 4 mineral eyeshadows, 2 mineral blushers and 4 mineral lipsticks, 2 eyeshadow brushes, a blusher brush and a lipstick brush. These all compliment each other and from the eyeshadows you can create a different smoky eye which looks gorgeous. All of the products in this compact last throughout the day and don't crease or end up looking patchy and un natural. The brushes are also lovely and soft and guarantee perfect application. The packaging can not be broken which is amazing so if I was in a rage and threw it at the wall, the products inside will still be intact :). The website says that this is $65 which is worth around £41.

You can buy this product and find out more information here:

Survival Kit:

The website states:

Sleek black travel case fits neatly into pocket or purse, jam-packed with every essential to keep you looking your beautiful best... wherever, whenever! Take this anywhere -- so small it fits into anything with everything you need for a quick makeup check. The beauty is in its simplicity. Need eye shadow? You have 10 choices. Lipstick? Five perfect shades. Two gorgeously pigmented blushes, plus liner, mascara, and applicators. Slide open drawers and unfold compartments to reveal on-the-go beauty options. Each shade works beautifully with all skin tones. The Survival Kit was designed to hold all of your beauty needs in a sleek component.

This is the best product of them all and I take this to college with me everyday, just this little wonder. As it contains eveything you need. This contains:

- Mascara: This is the best mascara I have ever used and it really gives your lashes volume but without any clumps.

- Eyeliner: The only eyeliner I have ever used that lasts and doesn't smudge or run.

- Lipliner: A bit too dark but still, stops lips from bleeding.

- A blusher brush, eyeshadow brush, blender brush, 2 lip brushes: All again which are lovely and soft and apply the make up perfectly.

- A large mirror: Which means you don't have to go to the bathroom to do your make up.

- 2 Blushes: One being a bronzed colour and the other dark pink which are mineral and natural looking.

- 10 Eyeshadows: All of different colours to highlight, contour and create lovely eye combinations. Highly pigmented and last all day without creasing.

- 5 Lipsticks: Which stay put all day and gives lips a nice wash of colour.

All of these are in a handy compact which looks amazing! It is worth $110 on the website which is equal to around £69 here.

You can get this from this website:

Bottom Line:

This review has been veryyy long and if you couldn't be bothered to read it all then basically these products are not a scam and are wonderful, lovely and definitly worth having. Remember me telling you how much the products are worth? Well over £200. But like I said, my sister got all of these for just £30! So next time you see a Victoria Jackson stand, don't just walk away, have a listen and consider buying these products.

You have a look at more of them here:

Oh and by the way, every person receives something different :)

Love, Jemma :)

P.S Sorry if I rambled a bit too much!

Slashed/Ripped Tees

I have been looking all over the place for some slashed/ripped tshirts after seeing my style idol Miley Cyrus wearing this:

Now as she is hot and I definitly don't have her figure, I wouldn't be able to pull that tshirt off. Finally, I looked on the River Island website and found two nice tshirts that are subtle enough for normal people with faults to wear:

As River Island doesn't have direct links, to access the tshirts just follow this:

1. First go onto: www.riverisland.com
2. Then, 'women'
3. Followed by 'tops'
4. And finally 'tshirts/vests/bodies'
5. These tshirts are on the '3rd page'.

These are pictures of the two colours available and I'm hoping to get the 'black' colour as it has more of a rock chick edge to it.

These are only £14.99 and you can wear them with nothing underneath or a vest top if you don't dare to bare everything - and I think i'll be going with the second option :)

I also had an email about this ripped tshirt:

Which is from Select and is a let less subtle than the ones above.
You can find this tshirt here: and it is only £12.

Personally, I prefer the ones from River Island because I have been looking for these for a long time now :) When I get some money and get round to buying them I will post pictures for you all.

Love,
Jemma :)

Plaits

I am loving the new hairstyle that celebs are currently rocking on the cat walk and in their everyday lives: Plaits. They can look casual or formal depending on how you are wearing them. Plaits these days are loose, sexy and grown up instead of child-like. Here's my pick of the best :)

Garnier Pure Active Blackhead Clearing Scrub

UPDATE - I am hoping to write at least 1 review a day just to make sure this blog is constantly updated so people don't get bored :) Also, I'm sure I previously mentioned that I am an active member on BeautyJudge? Which is a website whereby members review products. I am more than likely going to review the same products and because this means some people may be reading them again, I do change them when they come on here - yet again to try and diminish boredom :)

So this is the product I am reviewing today:

I won a full size tub of this in a competition I entered on the Garnier website and at first, I couldn't see any improvements. I didn't even believe that I had blackheads as I had never bothered to look as my spots bother me more lol. So I stopped using it just because I thought it was a waste. And then a couple of weeks after I noticed my blackheads - all around my nose! It was obvious that this scrub had been keeping them at bay and after 3 days of using this once a day, they had vanished again! I now use this every other day just to make sure my blackheads don't return :)

I don't believe that this fades marks but that could just be because my scars are quite old so it would probably take a long time to fade it. But if you do have blackheads I highly recommend this scrub. The formula feels lovely and creamy on my skin and once it's washed off my face feels cool and refreshed. I don't believe its too harsh to sensitive skin either as the grains are very gentle. As I got this as a free product I'm not too sure on the price but I do know it's under £5 which is incredibly cheap as it feels luxurious.
