A little update..

Just a quick post to let you know that I am still here! As most of you know I'm currently a fresher at the University of Lincoln and I'm studying journalism. As of yet, I'm loving it so much. And that's the reason why I haven't blogged in a while as I've been really busy. It's been go, go, go from day one.
I've met some really lovely people so far and I'm 100% sure that these people will become and remain my close friends for life - I hope. The social side of university has been incredible so far and the experience is fantastic.. but today the actual reason I'm at university begun - studying. I had my first lecture and I really enjoyed it so I'm pleased with that.
I don't really know what else to say.. apart from I shall be resuming normal blogging very soon! My first post will be a 'university survival guide' with products that got me through freshers week.
I miss you all and remember to tweet me @bamboozlebeauty if you have any questions :)

P.S I do have pictures with other people however, I didn't want to upload them incase my friends don't want their pictures on the internet. (They don't yet know about my blog)!

Britney Spears - Cosmic Radiance

I think you all possibly know how much I love Britney Spears. I've been a massive fan of hers for the past 13 years and I have all of her albums, DVDs, merchandise etc.. and she's all I seem to talk about. I've seen a lot of Cosmic Radiance sponsored posts popping up on my BlogLovin' timeline and I've loved reading them so much.. it's great seeing all of the Britney love! So even though this post isn't sponsored, I thought I'd do one aswell.
(Yes, that is a Britney toy toy bus in the background.. Like I said, I'm obsessed).
So yesterday was obviously the release date of Britney's brand new perfumes so I got up and rushed to Boots to buy it. I have all of her fragrances and I love them all. My favourite is possibly Radiance - the bottle is beautiful and the smell is wearable, buildable and sweet. When I got to Boots, I saw that I could get a free bag with any 50ml+ purchase so of course, I got the 50ml bottle. The bag isn't that nice but as a Britney fan, it's a collectors item for me. Anyway, the woman got me the perfume and I said 'yeah that's great. And she said 'do you not want to smell it?' To which I simply replied 'no, it's Britney.' Which is true.. I will buy anything of Britney's even if I don't like it. Luckily for me, Britney's never done anything that I didn't end up falling in love with.

This perfume is no different. It's a lot more grown up than her other fragrances. I'm not good with smells but I can definitely smell vanilla and citrus somewhere. And it smells beautiful. I'm in love! At first, I wasn't keen on the bottle.. the colours looked a bit too harsh but now it's sat on my desk looking gorgeous with my other Britney perfumes.. I can see how lovely it is. It definitely matches with the theme of being a 'Femme Fatale.'

Now, my favourite Britney moment is really hard to pin-point. Because I not only love her musically but also personally. My favourite musical moment is possibly this performance at the VMAs..
Yet my favourite personal moment is of course seeing her at the 2009 VMAs after her breakdown. Seeing Britney happy and back to herself made me burst into tears. I was so proud of her. And to this day, I continue to be proud of her. She's such a strong, beautiful woman and although in the UK her popularity hasn't been very good recently.. it's definitely getting back up there. Hopefully, the UK will fall back in love with her; just like the US has. She deserves the world.
Britney's new single, Criminal.

Do you love Britney? Her perfumes? Her music? Let's talk about Britney!

HOLIDAY ESSENTIALS: Skincare

Here's the second in my Holiday Essentials series.. I hope you're liking it so far!
If you can't tell by this picture, I'm currently trying out a new skincare routine (which so far, I'm loving). This is Avene's Cleanance range which I will hopefully be writing more about in the coming weeks! On holiday, I'm taking their Gel (cleanser), Lotion (toner), Cleanance lotion (moisturiser) and TriAcneal (night moisturiser).

I'm also taking my trustly Pan Oxyl as this clears up spots pretty much instantly. It's a must have for me and I cannot be without it! I've also moved up a strength so it works even faster. I must stress that if you purchase this treatment, your skin will more than likely be dry after the first few uses. Please do persist though because once that first dryness has gone, it won't return!

Liz Earle's Superskin Concentrate is also coming with me just incase I end up with dry skin. This is really compact and small and perfect for travelling with so I really couldn't say no! I'm also taking my favourite eye cream, Skin Wisdom's Instant Benefits Eye Roll On. This depuffs my eyes and makes them look brighter and fresh. I love it!

What are your skincare must haves? I'm also thinking about taking some wipes but I'm not sure.. I might just buy some out there if I need any!

(this is the last of the series.. the scheduled post thing messed everything up)!

HOLIDAY ESSENTIALS: Others

And finally, here is my last post! I would love to do make up but at the time of writing, I had no idea what I was going to take with me as I usually do it the night before/morning of leaving. It's a spontaneous process for me haha!
I'm taking two suntan lotions - Wilko Kids Suncare in SPF50 and a Liz Earle Mineral Sun Cream in SPF20. I've never used either of them so I'm really hoping they work. I have incredibly fair skin and no matter what, I always burn! However this time, I want a tan. So as well as using SPF 50, I'm taking an SPF 20 for later on in the holiday. To go with my suntans, I have the Liz Earle Botanical After Sun Gel which smells absolutely beautiful - very minty! I haven't tried it yet but I'll be reporting back on all of these products!

I'm taking the Sure Cool Pink deodorant but after smelling it, I hate it haha! So I'll probably buy another out there. But I trust Sure deodorants and I know that they work so I'll probably just have to get over the smell! And finally, I'm taking an Original Source Shower Cream and this is in the 'flavour' Vanilla Milk and Raspberry and the smell is to die for! I've had to pack it away in my suitcase because I'm so tempted to use it!

What are your other holiday must haves?

HOLIDAY ESSENTIALS: Haircare

Wow, long time no post, I hope you're all well! I have been so busy lately with university and holiday stuff and for the first time in a while, I can sit down and write blog posts! I'm going to be doing another holiday series but this time, instead of camping I'll be doing what I'm taking abroad with me on Tuesday to Salou. So I hope you enjoy these posts :)
Shampoo wise I have two Herbal Essences shampoos as these were both £1 on offer at Boots. I have the Beautiful Ends shampoo which I love so much and have the full size version of and also the new Tousle Me Softly shampoo which I've never tried. For a weeks holiday, two shampoos should hopefully be enough however, normally every week I use around 4 different shampoos as my hair type changes so much.. that's why I need two shampoos haha! I'm also taking a travel sized version of TRESemme's 24 Hour Body conditioner as it really nourishes hair yet doesn't weigh it down.

I'm also taking a detangling spray as my long hair gets tangled up enough just with water - never mind with sea water and chlorine! This one is the Kids Supersoft Detangling Spray and it smells beautiful! I haven't tried it yet but hopefully it'll be as good as my L'Oreal spray.

I'm taking a travel sizedTRESemmes Heat Defence spray and 24 Hour Body Blow Dry Spray as I could not live without these products. The Heat Defence spray obviously protects my hair against the appliance abuse and it also calms down frizz and the Blow Dry Lotion makes my hair BIG!

In the little pot I have some of Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Split End Protection Cream. If you read my blog often then you'll know that I don't get my hair cut which means the ends of my hair can sometimes be nightmares. But if I get my hair cut, it doesn't grow. This product is a lifesaver but the bottle is way to big. So I've decanted some product into a small Clinique sample pot - genius!

And finally I have Charles Worthington's Takeaway Sun-Shine UV Protection Styling Spray. I have never tried this but I've had my eye on it for a long time. However, I couldn't bring myself to spend £1.99 on such a small bottle! I did go into Home Bargains though and saw this. As soon as I saw the price, I had to buy it as it was only 49p!

Obviously I'm taking my GHDs aswell.

All of these products are brand new and have never been used.. I've tried a few before however, I will be reporting back on them when I return from my holidays!

What hair essentials do you take on holiday with you?
