SAVER SATURDAY: Ladies Only Sunday Sanctuary at Bar Galante for FREE!

You got that right, a new blogging series! Every Saturday, if possible, I'm going to try and present to you an offer that is beauty based. Times are hard at the moment and the recession is on going and stores are closing down so sometimes, you just need something that will cheer you up that isn't going to break the bank. This week, I have something for you that is entirely free and is guaranteed to banish all of your worries.
The stunning crystal cocktail lounge, Bar Galante (which is located at 87 Sloane Avenue, London, SW3 3DX) will be hosting a regular "ladies only Sunday Sanctuary." On arrival you will be greeted with complimentary Champagne Bellinis, Belvedere Bloody Marys and Argentinean canapés. After this, you can then settle town in front of classic films and be pampered with free beauty treatments from the Bliss Spa. Beauty treatments include mini body-massages and manicures and you can relax while enjoying a range of films such as the class 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' and one of my favourites, the risqué comedy 'Bridesmaids.' Already sounds perfect right? Well it gets even better - Bar Galante will also gift customers their very own pair of slippers to keep! This magical event takes place every Sunday between 1pm and 3pm. To book your place, all you have to do is email RSVP@BARGALANTE.COM. To find out more information, click here.
I wish I could go down and visit myself but unfortuantely, I have work on Sunday's and I also couldn't afford to go down to London. But if you do go, make sure you tweet me and let me know how you get on!

How to Relieve Exam Stress

It's that time of year again, the time that all students dread; exam time. If you're like me then you're one of those people that revise as much as they can but still end up in the exam room nearly in tears as you've forgotten everything. Yes, I panic and worry about exams. More than I should. So this year I'm taking a more 'relaxed' approach and instead of cramming revision in, I'm just doing 1 to 2 hours a day for the next 3 weeks.
These three are my must haves for revision.
Caudalie Beauty Elixir - yes, I caved. I saw this all over my blogging dashboards and I just couldn't resist as everyone has been raving about it. When I first used it I can remember thinking 'oh, is this it?' But then the addiction started. Gem from GemsMaquillage described it this best; 'crack in a bottle.' And that's what it is. I've had it a week now and already you can see how much I've used. Although I don't think it has that much of a big effect on your skin (it just tightens the pores a little bit) it does smell incredible. So incredible. The smell calms me down and puts a smile of my face and I find myself using it so much. I use it as a toner, I use it as a make up refresher, I use it as a drug. It's my drug.
Britney Spears Baby One More Time Album - music means a lot to me, especially music by Britney. When it came to me choosing an album to listen to whilst revising I immediately went to this one. It's Britney's debut album and whilst there are some wonderful, upbeat pop songs, there's also some calming, beautiful ballads. But not only that, just looking at this album puts a smile on my face. It reminds me of my childhood and it shows me how far Britney's come. 14 years on and she's still here making music and regardless of what she's been through, she's stronger than ever. And it inspires me to never give up. The perfect revision album.
Ikea Flardfull Scented Candle - I have a candle obsession! So much so that even though candles are banned in student halls, I break the code and still burn them - I'm bad. This one is wonderful and smells like lemons and citrus which really uplifts me and makes me feel wide awake. It was also very cheap, under £3 and although I've burnt it for many hours, it's barely gone down!
Another thing that's making me revise is the Moddershall Oaks Spa*. I've given myself an incentive; if I pass this year then I will treat myself to something at this spa. It has 10 luxury spa suites and it was award 5 bubbles by the Good Spa Guide. Also perfect for the summertime, the spa has launched their 'British Summertime Spa Treats' which is a package that includes a relaxing Shirodhara Head Massage, Gerard's Green Tea Abdomen Treatment for a flatter bikini tummy, The Bamboo Massage for an A List no effort workout and Lava Shells Full Body Massage for the warmth of the tropics which is the perfect selection of summer time treats. The package helps you to achieve that summer holiday 'lighter' look and feel. This package includes a welcome tour and complimentary drink, use of the spa facilities, robes, lunch with a fresh fruit smoothie and a 55 minute summer treatment. Prices start from just £105 per person. You can also get this as a break package which includes everything in the day package plus extended us of the spa and an overnight stay in a 5 star suite based on 2 people sharing and the use of the outdoor hot tub. Prices start from £145 per person. You can find out more about the spa here.
Moddershall Oaks Spa Manager, Penny Holland said that; 'All of us will feel the effects of stress at some point in our lives. It's different for all of us and so it's important that we tune in and listen to our bodies. There are many simple, small and effective steps that we can take to significantly reduce our stress levels yet they are often overlooked. I would recommend the following as my fail safe tips to restore your happy self:
1. Commit to a regular practice of yoga, tai chi or mediation. The predominant focus is to life the mind, body and spirit.
2. Enjoy the great outdoors - often getting some fresh air and being surrounded by nature puts things in to perspective.
3. Book in for a treatment with an expert therapist. I am always amazed by the difference many of my clients feel after having a treatment like a head massage.'
How do you relax and relieve your exam stress?

*I was contacted by a PR company regarding this spa and the Summertime Spa Treats package but they are not offering me the incentive. If I pass my exams and visit this spa I will be paying for it with my own money.

I'm Lovin' It!

Hey guys!
Sorry that I've been absent recently. I've been really busy sorting out university things and also holiday things as next Tuesday, I'm going abroad - really excited! So I thought I'd show you a few products that I'm currently loving.
This rich body butter is perfect for dry skin sufferers. I've had a bad couple of weeks recently where the skin on my legs and ankles has been pretty dry and this body butter has solved all of my problems. It melts into the skin effortlessly and doesn't take long to completely sink in. It also smells absolutely beautiful - and the scent lingers! The tub is 300ml which is huge for the price!

Denise McAdam Moisture Master Intensive Moisture Masque - £3.50 [Tesco]
If you follow me on Twitter then you'll probably know that when I returned home from camping my hair had suffered badly. It was awfully dry which for me, was a shock considering my hair is usually oily. This hair masque saved my hairs life. You apply it for 2-3 minutes, rinse it off and wella! Perfect hair in an instant. After using this just once, my hair had restored to its natural form and it was full of life and glowing. I now use this 2-3 times a week!

I love this product so much! It smells gorgeous - like Bakewell Tarts. This handcream also sinks into the hands pretty quickly which makes it perfect for when I'm driving. I do love the packaging.. very vintage and pretty. However, I wish Burt's Bees' did a smaller version that I could keep in the car. Don't worry though, I did decant some into a smaller tub so I always have it. My favourite handcream.

Skin Wisdom Instant Benefits Eye Roll On - £7.00 [Tesco]
I've always found it hard to find the 'perfect' eyecream. My eyes do get small bags under them and sometimes, they're hard to conceal with concealer alone. This eye roll on however works instantly. It cools the eyes and leaves them looking fresh and awake. I wouldn't be without it.

Blistex Raspberry Lemonade Blast - [Superdrug]
You know I love lip balms right? Well this one is now my all time favourite. It's highly moisturising and gets rid of chapped lips straight away. Yet the best thing about this lip balm is the taste. Oh my, it tastes beautiful. Just like raspberries and lemonade - ha! Amazing. I carry it with me everywhere.

I reviewed this product here and yes, I'm still loving it. My #1 foundation at the moment!

This pressed powder really does seem magical. It contains different coloured dots [see picture below] which all merge together to not only mattify the skin but also to conceal.  It brightens the complexion, dulls redness, conceals skin discolouration, camouflages yellow & pallid skin and also covers under and over eye areas. It really is that magically. The compact is pretty big and flimsy but it does contain a huge mirror which is a big bonus!
I've gone back to my favourite concealer! This concealer is so cheap yet it has full coverage and a lot of pigmentation. It covers everything. My go-to concealer. I cannot praise it enough. Oh and it lasts all day.

Barbara Daly Lash Boost Mascara [Black] - £6.75 [Tesco]
I tweeted about this mascara whilst I was on holiday. I went in the sea and this mascara did not budge. I find that incredible. I honestly couldn't believe it! This mascara lengthens, thickens and curls my lashes and since I've been using it I have noticed that my lashes have become stronger.

Barbara Daly Eye Liner Polish [Dramatic Black] - [Tesco]
I find it really hard to use gel/cream eyeliners however, this one is perfect. It's really pigmented, glides onto the eye area and doesn't move until it's removed. Once again, I can't praise it enough. It's just perfect.
